So we know Marvel's Captain America threequel has a May 6th, 2016 release date, we know directors Anthony and Joe Russo will be back at the helm, and we know Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely will once again be on writing duties. We've also been told that there's a good chance the movie will feature a much bigger role for Bucky/The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) and will likely pick up the story right after the end of the last film, as Cap (Chris Evans) and Falcon (Anthony Mackie) try to pick up his trail. Now recently the Russo brothers have been teasing this movie quite a bit, but they haven't really let anything concrete slip yet, so we thought it'd be a good time to find out what else you CBMers want to see before anything official is announced.

Character wise, by far the biggest wish was for the return of the Red Skull. Obviously we've seen Johann Schmidt already in the first Captain America played by Hugo Weaving, but many of you felt he wasn't really done justice to and want to see him return to make Cap's life hell. Crossbones is also very popular, but it's probably a given that we'll see Frank Grillo return in that role anyway. Baron Zemo is another classic villain many of you wanted to see make his MCU debut, and actor Mads Mikklesen seems to be the most popular choice for the role. Other top villain picks were Madame Maque (Eva Green), Nuke, and The Serpent Society. As for which heroes you'd like to see join the fray, Black Panther is top of the list, but quite a few of you also liked the idea of US Agent showing up too.

From a story standpoint, one comic arc most of you were adamant that you DIDN'T want to see (at least, not yet) was the Death of Captain America. The feeing seems to be that it's a bit too early for that, although a lot of you didn't mind the Civil War storyline that eventually leads to Cap's demise being teased, or the foundations being set. Some of you felt that Marvel should take this opportunity to really shake things up and introduce some off-world elements to the story, to ease the transition later down the line. The Secret Wars arc seems very ambitious, but after hearing what the Russos had to say, a slightly toned down take on it might just be a possibility. Also, despite recent comic book development, you didn't seem to happy about the possibility of Falcon taking over as Captain America...again, not yet.

You also felt things should be shaken up costume wise. Since Marvel usually make a few alterations in the character's looks from movie to movie anyway, it's a safe bet we'll get that. Many votes for a slightly more comic-accurate Falcon (one or two of you even wanted him to have a little robotic bird!), and it seems the general consensus is that it's time for us to see Cap in that dragon-scale battle suit..with the wings!

That's about it. Is there anything else you'd like to see now that you've heard a bit more about the movie from the directors? Next up we'll be asking what you want to see from The Amazing Spider-Man 3, so get the thinking webs on as that's bound to be a fun thread!

I think that Zemo is the best option.
Red Skull should have only a cameo in the movie, for a future Secret Wars adaptation.

Zemo. Hands down. He is a fan-favorite. Either establish in a flashback that he was a general of the Skull, or make him a disguise for the Skull in the present. Like the Mandarin.

zemo or if they do bring back red skull then have the skeleton crew. they would basically counter cap's team in every way.

I would like to see them actually follow through on the whole Crossbones thing. They really snuck that in there in Winter Soldier, I was honestly taken by surprise.

Return of the Red Skull could be pretty awesome. I think the Russos would depict him well in a modern context and hopefully give us a decent fight to make up for First Avenger's final fight.

I agree about not killing off Steve yet. He hasn't even begun his relationship with Sharon Carter yet. Finish out this trilogy in a good place and then maybe think about killing him later.

I just want another good movie, TWS was awesome. An updated version of the Red Skull in modern times could be really cool....

Good article, I'm also gonna say Taskmaster again because I thought it should have been included....

As long as it fits in the story, A fight between Taskmaster and Cap would be EPIC....

What if one of the reasons to Thomas Kretschmann' Von Strucker captured the Scarlet Witch in the TWS' post-credits scene was to bring back the Red Skull through magic? And what if, since she will join the Avengers in AoU, Strucker starts to assemble a team (featuring Zemo (And it would be great if he was played by Zach Quinto), Crossbones, Nuke (Josh Holloway) and other famous Captain's villains). Then they accomplish the resurrection of Red Skull, kill Captain at the end of the movie and then Bucky starts being a new Captain America. But, feeling guilty by his past as Winter Soldier, he make some changes. And instead of being the Captain, he turns into a brand new character - The U.S. Agent.

CAN YOU DIG IT?

Red Skull as the main villain, possibly?

MODOK could be fun too. I'd like their to be a mini strike team like in Cap 2.

Bring back Red Skull, Black Panther needs his own movie. No need for a BP cameo he deserves better.
