In the following interview for his new movie
The Boxtrolls, Isaac Hempstead-Wright confirms that his next project will be returning to film the fifth season of
Game Of Thrones. This seems to contradict what we heard from Hodor actor Kristian Nairn however, who said:
"We have a season off and we have a year's hiatus, solely because I imagine our storyline is up to the end of the books. So, I get my year off now to do Rave of Thrones and gallivant all over the world." Now while he didn't mention Bran specifically, it wasn't much of a stretch to assume the "we" meant his Westeros travelling buddies, Bran (Wright) and Meera Reed (Ellie Kendrick) -- but evidently the young Stark lad will be making an appearance without his protectors. Skip to the
5:50 point.
(Possible
SPOILERS ahead) So let's speculate: We know Bran's story in the show has pretty much caught up to the point he's at in the fifth book in the
Song Of Ice And Fire saga, but if he is returning for the fifth season without Hodor (and presumably Meera), it's possible any Bran scenes will just be the him sitting underground chatting to the Three Eyed Raven! There could be scenes of him beginning some sort of training to unlock those warg powers of his, but it's hard to imagine Hodor, at least, not being around for that. Anyway, I'm sure we'll find out what's going on soon enough.
