Nick Tarabay Joins ARROW Season 3 As 'Captain Boomerang'

I guess it's comic book tv show day! Now EW report that Spartacus actor Nick Tarabay has joined the third season of the CW's take on DC's Emerald Archer as a baddie usually more associated with The Flash, Digger Harkness (aka Captain Boomerang).

Another major DC supervillian will make his live-action debut on the CW's third season of Arrow. According to Entertainment Weekly, Spartacus' Nick Tarabay (who also appeared in Star Trek Into Darkness) has signed on to play Aussie nutcase, Captain Boomerang. The character is normally more of a thorn in Barry Allen's side, but it seems we'll be getting the best of both worlds as Tarabay is expected to debut as Boomerang in episode 7, and then also appear in episode 8 which will be the Flash crossover ep. For the purposes of the show "Harkness will be a former A.R.G.U.S operative, highly skilled in martial arts and espionage, with a deadly thirst for vengeance against his former employers." The Flash debuts Tuesday, Oct. 7 and Arrow returns for its third season on Wednesday, Oct. 8.

@marvel72 I'm thinking he'll be from Central City, which would make sense as to why The Flash and Arrow work together to take him on.

Why's he joining Arrow? Having him on the Flash makes more sense. Plus the people over at Arrow and the Flash need to start looking at other actors then just ones in Spartacus and Prison Break. I'm not saying these choices aren't good, just that there's other actors out there too.

The CW only cast actors that fit within a certain spectrum. IE, affordable, and usually pretty mediocre. Just sayin.

And to the people asking about the Flash connection - Do you even read the articles?? Like I'm not trying to be an @$$ but seriously. Do you? Since A.R.G.U.S. first appeared in Arrow it makes sense he will show up there first, and then with Barry's interaction he'll probably end up on the Flash later in the season. He's already got Capt. Cold and Heatwave to deal with, not to mention Weather Wizard in the pilot.
