MY LITTLE PONY Movie Coming In 2017
Bronies rejoice! Joining the live-action Jem And The Holograms flick that's currently in production, Hasbro plan to release a big screen animated My Little Pony movie through Allspark Pictures in 2017. More details after the jump.
The incredibly popular My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic cartoon gave a new lease of life to the Hasbro franchise back in 2010, and now Variety report that a big-screen outing for the colourful little equines is in development for a 2017 release. Hasbro Studios will produce the film through Allspark Pictures; a new label through which the company will self-finance, or co-finance with other companies, a slate of projects. Ice Age: Continental Drift writer Joe Ballarini will pen the script, and Megan McCarthy, who produces and has written for My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, will co-executive produce. IDW have been running a monthly comic series based on the animated show since 2012. There's more at the link below.
