COMICS: THE INHUMANS Vs. The Marvel Universe? Check Out The ATTILAN RISING Teaser

After releasing teasers for revisits of past events such as Civil War, Old Man Logan etc, Marvel have changed things up with an all-new event scheduled for Summer 2015. It seems The Inhumans will triumph over many of Marvel's biggest heroes if this image is anything to go by..

EW have the exclusive on Marvel's latest cryptic teaser, but this time it looks to be a brand new event which will see The Inhumans lay waste to the likes of Superior Iron Man, the new Thor, Captain America and Cyclops among others. Details are vague, but at the end of last year's Infinity arc, Attilan (the floating city of The Inhumnans) crashed to earth and left their leader Black Bolt MIA. It seems ol' Blackagar Boltagon (yes, really) is set to return with his people at full strength, and that can't be good for the rest of the Marvel universe. The series will be written by W. Scott Forbes and like the other events teased, could well tie in to the planned Secret Wars by Jonathan Hickman and Esad Ribic.

I always thought I was more a Marvel fan when it came to comics, but recently DC have just been winning me completely over. One of my favourite things about DC are there different worlds and versions of characters, where as despite marvel having their Earth-616 and others it feels too crowded and unoriginal.
DC with the new 52 has given each title room to breathe and grow on their own, and cross over when story allows and feels right. Where as marvel have tried to cram all possibilities into one universe, though Im not a fan of the ultimate universe, they had the right idea. Maybe I would feel differently if marvels adventures to alternate earths and dimensions weren't confined to the odd special or what if issue.

Sorry if this seems like I ended up on a rant, just want marvel to get back on track with their comics!!

Captain America was right.

@The14thAvenger completely agree. Marvel really needs to alter their structure. Honestly Id love if they did a New-52 type reboot because so many marvel comics carry a lot of baggage from the last decade making the stories convoluted, over-stuffed, and not that easy for new readers to get into.

Black Bolt alone could take down all of the Marvel Universe… So this doesn't surprise me that they would whoop ass.

I bet Inhumans will be the secret movie that's being done by Marvel. Guardians was the same way. I remember when Guardians was rumored I was like: "Nah, they wouldn't make a movie like that. It wouldn't work." How wrong was I? So, yeah, I see Inhumans being a thing eventually.

@dethpillow A new or alternate universe better than the Ultimate one would work in some cases. But my issue with marvel is that they keep renumbering titles as #1, yet are really a continuation of the previous stories. They should just keep the original numbering. I can pick up New 52 WW #1 without knowing anything about WW prior and understand everything. I picked up All New ASM #1, and keep in mind Spider-Man is the character Im most familiar with and I had been reading the superior arc, yet I still wasn't able to get into it. I've had the same problem with Secret Avengers. (not all marvel's titles are like that but still). Point is, yes at some point the new 52 might become difficult to jump into a story (haven't encountered that yet) but as of now, like 14thAvenger said the characters have room to breathe, each arc is relatively isolated - i.e. I can read death of the family without reading the previous volumes of batman. I just think marvel needs to work on their overall structure

@The14thAvenger. I agree but I also believe that comics, Marvel in particular, has gotten away from heroes dealing with current social issues. All of this zap,zap,bang,bang, to infinity and beyond stuff gets boring real quick.

@the14thAvenger.
Yeah I feel ya, I was looking at my pull list for the last five years and it went from being almost split down the middle to 75% DC and rest Marvel I I hated the idea of the nu52 but now I'm pretty much sold on it, I think you hit it in the nail to many characters filling to many books and some appear in multiple titles and the constant events are getting tiresome,

Black Bolt is a badass! That scene with him and Thanos in the Infinity storyline gave me chills.

Not so much. Look up Fantastic Four/Inhumans: Atlantis rising, a storyline in Fantastic Four and Fantastic Force back in 1995

I see Inhumans as the MCU version of X-Men's mutants. They've had more active roles in Marvel comics lately, and with how both Marvel and audiences handled Guardians, I think Marvel will announce Inhumans sooner rather than later.

Inhumans everywhere. Gorgon was added to Marvel Avengers Alliance yesterday, Medusa earlier this month and Karnak is upcoming.

Doing a reboot doesn't necessarily make it good. Tried reading new 52 lantern and arrow and its awful. Marvel needs to just stop throwing stuff at the wall and seeing what sticks. Fractions Hawkeye, spurriers x force. Dreading Jeff lemire taking over from matt fraction on Hawkeye
