'Smaug' Attacks On New THE HOBBIT: THE BATTLE OF THE FIVE ARMIES Poster

We'd assume this is the final one-sheet for Peter Jackson's third Hobbit flick, but we'll probably get another 10 or so before the film is released. Anyway, this is a pretty cool one to be fair. See Bard (Luke Evans) stand alone against the might of Smaug the dragon after the jump.

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies” brings to an epic conclusion the adventures of Bilbo Baggins, Thorin Oakenshield and the Company of Dwarves. Having reclaimed their homeland from the Dragon Smaug, the Company has unwittingly unleashed a deadly force into the world. Enraged, Smaug rains his fiery wrath down upon the defenseless men, women and children of Lake-town. Obsessed above all else with his reclaimed treasure, Thorin sacrifices friendship and honor to hoard it as Bilbo’s frantic attempts to make him see reason drive the Hobbit towards a desperate and dangerous choice. But there are even greater dangers ahead. Unseen by any but the Wizard Gandalf, the great enemy Sauron has sent forth legions of Orcs in a stealth attack upon the Lonely Mountain. As darkness converges on their escalating conflict, the races of Dwarves, Elves and Men must decide – unite or be destroyed. Bilbo finds himself fighting for his life and the lives of his friends in the epic Battle of the Five Armies, as the future of Middle-earth hangs in the balance.

Starring Martin Freeman, Ian McKellen, Richard Armitage, Evangeline Lilly, Lee Pace, Luke Evans, Benedict Cumberbatch, Ken Stott, James Nesbitt, Cate Blanchett, Ian Holm, Hugo Weaving and Orlando Bloom, The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies is set to be released on December 17th.

I was disappointed when I saw no Smaug in the final trailer. WB sucks at marketing.

Bothers me a bit that RorMachine puts character names in quotation marks.

Remember when Thorin was standing on Smaugs face for like a minute in Desolation? I still cannot forgive PJ for that...

I miss the days when Smaug was an actual dragon. So pretty much those 2 minutes in that flashback in An Unexpected Journey.

Wished they would have kept him like this, would have been way better IMO.

There are plenty of things to criticize in the Hobbit movies but Smaug is absolutely perfect.

I'm so glad they removed his front legs. This looks much more serpent like which suits Smaug very well. It also makes more sense, as far as sense can go with a huge ass fire breathing dragon! But you get the point.

I absolutely LOVE Smaug's look and voice and everything about it. I'd fukc him till death if I could lel.

Cannot wait to see his flying and wreaking havoc upon Esgaroth!!! Hopefully PJ has many great shots of it and WETA has nailed it. So looking forward to the HFR IMAX marathon next month!!!! IT'S GETTING CLOSERRR BITCHES!!!!
