Ridley Scott Dicusses His BLADE RUNNER And PROMETHEUS Sequels

In the following video interview with MTV, the Exodus: Gods And Kings director gives a couple of very interesting updates for both of his planned sci-fi sequels. He also responds to the critics of Prometheus with a direct as ever "f*ck you very much".

While chatting to MTV about his new biblical epic Exodus: Gods And Kings, Sir Ridley Scott let a few story details slip about his planned sequel to Prometheus. It sounds as if David the android -- excuse me, artificial person -- (Michael Fassbender) will try to persuade Elizabeth (Noomi Rapace) to find a new body for his severed head at some point as they travel through space together. As you would! Another sci-fi sequel much longer in the making is Scott's Blade Runner follow up. The director talks a little about the design aspect, and claims Harrison Ford told him it's the best script he's ever read. Check out the video interview below, as Sir Ridley also has some choice words for his critics!

Haven't seen Prometheus...haven't seen all of Blade Runner...

Don't think I have any place in this thread.

Later.

Bale is "hollywood" tough. Throw him in Chicago and see how long it'll take him to break down and he'll be like:

Anyway, I'm really looking forward to seeing Prometheus 2. Wondering how big is this body will be that David gets attached? Should be cool exploring more of the engineers homeworld.

It's clear that Ridley has so many ideas nowadays that he's not sure what to do next.

Outside of just what he's producing he may Direct:

Bladerunner
Prometheus 2
King David
(I'm sure i'm missing some) LOL!

@jollem

- awesome!! ridley said what i said a while ago
"the only critic i care about is me"

Lol. You have to make something first to say that. Considering your taste in the craft, I hope you never try your hand at film making.

I hope Prometheus 2 comes in 2017 at the very late. Its too long of a wait, imo. That doesnt use to help sequels, so lets see...

@charlie2094

you're right. I can't really think of a Director who could replace Ridley on that type of project but I would rather someone spent time trying to develop it properly ya know.

I liked Prometheus, folks these days are too spoiled, they don't know good movies from bad ones anymore.

@DrunkenNukem

I've played a few hours of it, I just bought it the other day. The atmosphere really is perfect, but it's so realistic, it gave me motion sickness after I played it for too long. It's so interesting, it's almost like a social experiment on fear. What are you really afraid of -- the alien, or the concept of the alien?

I'm probably one of the few that's much more excited for a Prometheus 2 than a Blade Runner 2 because Prometheus was begging for a sequel to be made while a Blade Runner sequel feels unnecessary at this point.

Also goddamn Scott keeps himself busy for a man of his age. I think he's directed a movie almost every year since Gladiator.

Alien Isolation is a fantastic game, perfectly gets the atmosphere of the first film.

@DrunkenNukem

I played it back in late October. Too terrifying for me. I stay punking out. I'll just save it for when I have company and we all want a good scare! lol

30 years for a Blade Runner sequel? Seems kind of late and redundant at this point. Also, Detroit Lions suck.

I liked Prometheus but for Prometheus 2 can we not have moronic characters?

If you encounter a cobra, would you try and pet it? NO! So why the [frick] would you try to pet an alien cobra?!
