Check Out The Costume Michael Keaton Would Have Worn For BATMAN 3

We recently found out that the studio -- worried about how dark and strange Tim Burton's Batman Returns was -- decided to go a different direction with what would turn out to be Batman Forever, but there were sculpts done of Keaton's new Batsuit first! Take a look..

We actually came closer to Tim Burton and Michael Keaton returning for a third Batman flick than many realize, but a nervous Warner Bros. decided to take a lighter route with Joel Schumacher, and rest is Bat-history. However, we can give you some idea of how the Birdman actor might have looked in a redesigned costume by José Fernandez. io9 have uncovered the following images, which feature concepts for his new Batsuit. Was Burton planning on giving us a grey costume? Actually it's highly probable these would have been painted black eventually, but at least there's no Bat-nipples...just a Bat- codpiece instead. Some have noted how similar the torso design is to the Kryptonians from Man Of Steel too.

Here's What Michael Keaton's Batman 3 Batsuit Would Have Looked Like

Would you have liked to see Burton make another Batman? Or are you one of the three people that actually enjoyed Schumacher's movies? Let us know in the usual place.

Not bad, that actually looks better then his Batman Returns and Batman 89 outfits. Wish they would have went with this in Batman Forever.

All of batman's costumes suck. I'd rather see someone wearing superman's little onesie pyjamas than to watch another batman movie with that stupid design.

I did actually like Batman Forever. Would have been by far the best Batman movie at the time if WB had let Schumaker go with the original script.

I also am not a fan of Keaton's Batman.

now if they'd have just deleted the fact they cast marlon waynes for robin I could have been outraged this nearly got put on film....

doesn't matter anyway cause I'm *Clears throat*, not a big Michael Keaton Batman fan, I liked Val Kilmer's Batman more personally *Runs for cover*

I would have rather gotten another Batman movie by Tim Burton instead of Batman Forever.

Batman Forever and B&R were made more kid friendly, just so the movies could sell toys.
