Neil Marshall May Be Directing "Predators"

While it's still only a rumour, word is that Neil Marshall is the man to bring Predators to the screen.

I had thought that Robert Rodriguez was directing the upcoming "Predator" sequel(are we calling it a sequel now?) but it turns out hes only producing it..in other words, putting his name on it!

According to the lads at Total Film, their sources are pointing to the Doomsday/Dog Soldiers man as all but signed to tackle the new pic.

Marshall is probably best known for "Doomsday" stateside, but by far his best movie is "The Descent". This guy can certainly bring the scary, but im not sure how he would handle the sci fi adventure elements. Time will tell, we await confirmation!

Awesome, I love his movies. I checked out dog soldiers years ago when I worked at a video store. I thought it was going to be total crap but it was pretty nice! The reactions of the soldiers to the werewolves was pretty hilarious.

The Descent is class. Simple concept. Simple yet horrifying creatures. I was able to see the uk cut so it didnt end happy. Best "cave movie" I've ever seen.

I didnt know he did Doomsday. Should I watch that? Anyone?

I WANNA SEE PREDATORS,COOL HUNTING WEAPONS OF ALIEN TECHNOLOGY, A BADASS HERO OR A SEXY TOUGH GIRL AS THE HUNTED OR HUNTER AND A GOOD STOYLINE, THE FIRST ONE HAD THE FEELING, SECOND ONE HAD IT TOO, REGARDLESS IF THEY ARE BUFF LIKE DUTCH OR A RAMBO POLICE OFFICER IN A ROUGH PART OF TOWN, OR A GIRL TRAPPED IN A BAD SITUATION AND FIGHTING BACK FEARLESS, IT WILL WORK..

Now We're getting somewhere. I love Dog Soldiers, and The Decent was really good as well. This should be great.

After seeing The Descent, I kind of can see him as the man for the job.

This could be interesting, he's certainly got the horror down which, sci-fi aside, is the heart of the movie. Predator i think works best as a monster movie, sort of in the vane of creature of the black lagoon.

And is it just me or did GUNSMITH adopt a little brother and namehim WulfComicFan?

His work on Dog Soldiers proves he can make a good movie under crappy circumstances, just imagine what he can do w/ a real budget
