Which Classic Characters Look Set To Appear In TRANSFORMERS 4?

JoBlo have landed a pretty big scoop. According to them, several fan-favorite characters from classic Transformers canon are set to pop up in Michael Bay's fourth installment in his movie franchise. Which ones? Well you get one clue in the thumbnail pic, you'll have to click on for more!

JoBlo reckon they've learned quite a few details about Transformers 4 from a source at a marketing event. Not only do they reveal which characters might be making an appearance, but also a little on how they'll factor in to the plot of the movie. So although this has to be taken as a rumor until official word, we've always found JoBlo to be pretty reliable so SPOILER WARNING is in effect from here on in.

That's right, folks, our source has confirmed that TRANSFORMERS 4 will feature none other than the famed Dinobots, including fan favorite Grimlock. No word on whether he'll retain his neanderthal voice, but one can only hope he does as that's a true staple of the character. One of the villains of the film will be a character named Lockdown, who has a ship full of decommissioned Transformers, including the dinobots, which are somehow brought back to life by a captured Optimus Prime. Prime is joined by returning autobot Bumblebee and at one point both characters (and potentially others) will "ride" the Dinobots into battle in Hong Kong (which fits well within the announcement that the film would film partially in China), with Prime on Grimlock and Bumblebee on a Pterandon, presumably Swoop.

Grimlock and the Dinobots? The Autobots riding Grimlock and the Dinobots into battle? And that's not all: They reckon the movie will also feature Autobot Hound, and that Megatron will be reborn as Galvatron! They also mention that we'll see a former "Samurai" Decepticon that wants to regain his honor and become an Autobot. There must be a few fans that are busting with excitement at the prospect of seeing all of that on the big screen, even if the general consensus is that Bay pretty much deliver a couple of steaming piles with the last two movies. What do you think? Sound off in the usual place.

Galvatron and Hound...cool.

Grimlock and the other Dinobots? FINALLY!!!

Robots that turn into things and beat each other up is awesome. The only way to improve that is to have robots that turn into dinosaurs. How could it have taken this long for Bay to realize this?

I don't know what to think. Bay's movies look "cool" but that not really the problem with his movies is it?

They should cancel this drug so yeah. Until they find aum director who knows what he is doing and not just blow things while saying some joke about penises.

You guys are really hung up on the riding thing. I dunno...I guess the visual of the dinobots swooping into a battle, with Prime rising up on one, probably raising an ax or something over his head, music swelling...sounds awesome to me.

Who cares which Transformers are in it? Bay is directing which means this movie will be all action and no heart. Lots of juvenile humor such as people passing gas and animals engaging in sexual intercourse, stupid adults saying dumb things and shitty performances from actors and actresses. I saw all three in the theater and am totally fed up with Bay and his bullshit. I will not waste any money on this tripe.

We also got excited that Devastator was going to show up...

@Monkey I've always wanted to see a Dinoriders revival. As a kid that concept blew me away even if it was grossly inaccurate in terms of the dinosaurs (most of the dinosaurs in that show were separated by millions off years).

The "samurai" decepticon who is looking to regain his honor and joins the autobots has to be a transformer created in the last couple of years Drift.

I actually never liked the Neanderthal-like voice of Grimlock.
It never made sense to me that just because they take dino-shapes, they're dumb.

Even though I don't care for Revenge of the Fallen, I've enjoyed all the Michael Bay Transformers movies. They're fun, action packed entertainment. Dark of the Moon is the best by far. Hopefully, this one will be good as well although it feels they're going to run this franchise into the ground. I don't know how I feel about, the Dinobots yet.

Optimus and Bumblebee riding Dinobots? That sounds pretty bizarre. Still, I'm rather optimistic about this one. Has potential to easily be the best in the series.

Jeez some of you guys are putting Transformer really high up on a pedestal, all other 80s cartoons as well…have any of you tried watching the Gen 1 cartoons as adults? Well I tried and I lasted 15 min before I couldn’t take it any longer. Those cartoons main purpose was to sell toys and that was it. They were awesome because we were watching them through kids eyes, but seriously for adults it is mind numbing. And lets be straight up here, Transformer is about giant robots fighting each other with humans stuck in the middle and with that type of movie only Michael Bay and a few others (Guillermo Del Toro) could pull it off…
So quit your whining because in the end all of you complainers will be there buying a ticket on opening night...secretly loving the movie but coming here to bitch about it.

Bay has raped the 80's long enough... I wouldn't watch ANYTHING else he reboots/ remakes even if he brought it to my home in person. The Turtles will suck also.

I sat through the last Transformers movie, no more!

Bay will not get my money for a long pointless and blurry action film!
