We knew Arnold Schwarzenegger would most likely be involved in another Terminator flick if it ever got off the ground, but most assumed he'd be playing a human character (perhaps the man who created the T-800) considering machines don't age and ...well, Arnie is pretty old now! But TheArnoldFans.com manged to nab a few quotes from Schwarzenegger regarding his upocoming movie slate, and he reckons he will indeed be "starring" as the Terminator once again:
"I'm very happy that the studios want me to be in 'Terminator 5' and to star as the Terminator. We start shooting in January and I'm also going to do 'King Conan'. To play that role and also to do another 'Twins' movie. I feel very proud of that. I feel very happy and I'm looking forward to doing those films."
There you go. We only found out a few days ago that this movie was even back on the radar, and now it's apparently shooting in January. Justin Lin was signed on to helm the previous incarnation at one point, but I'd assume Paramount are now pretty focused on finding a new director if they plan to get production off the ground so soon. Laeta Kalogridis (
Shutter Island) and Patrick Lussier (
Drive Angry) are currently working on a script. How do you guys feel about having Arnie back as a T-800?
