POLL: Which Character Could Vin Diesel Be Meeting With Marvel About?

Last night Fast And Furious 6 actor Vin Diesel revealed via his Facebook page that Marvel had asked for a meeting. No other information was given, so obviously it could be for any number of parts, or none at all..yet! It's not uncommon for a studio to be interested in working with an actor but not have a specific role in mind right away, and we know that Marvel have a LOT of movies in the pipeline over the next few years. But let's assume that they do have a character in mind, who could it be? The most common theory is that he'll actually be doing voice work, and since Marvel still haven't announced who'll be providing the voices of Rocket Raccoon and Groot in Guardians Of The Galaxy, many reckon he'll be bringing life to the latter (Rocket is a stretch!). Now Diesel has described himself as being "of ambiguous ethnicity", with his background including Scottish, Italian, African-American and "a lot of stuff". But he definitely feels that he's a person of color -- so is Black Panther out of the question? I can't imagine it'd be too popular a choice among fans, but you never know. How about Thanos? We know Avengers 2 will need a big bad, and Diesel would certainly suit that role. Then there's The Vision, who Diesel himself dropped some hints about a while back -- could he be appearing in the Avengers sequel? Also -- even though no Sub-Mariner movie has been officially announced -- many fans seem to thing he'd make a good Namor; is that a possibility? Below we've included the obvious and one or two not so obvious choices! Vote away and sound off in the usual place.

The Vision has a very ethereal quality that's imbedded into his character; I don't see Diesel pulling it off. Hopefully he's a Crusher Creel, Wrecker or some other villainous side-character.

Just because he says he is meeting with marvel does not mean its Marvel Studios. It could be for Fox or Sony.

Couldn't be Vision, obviously. I can't wait for The Vision to enter the Avengers storyline on film, but Diesel ain't gonna be the guy. Most likely a voice over role.

Hope he plays Groot or Vision! He could do the voice and also the motion capture. His voice is perfect for the two, and he seems to be a fan of Vision, as well.

Black Panther, Luke Cage or Dr. Strange? Seriously? Rocket Raccoon with Vin Diesel's voice? No Thanks. Surprised one would even think he would remotely be appropriate for those roles. To each their own, I guess.

The Iron Giant is my favourite film so I hope he gets the job as Groot because I think he does best with characters with limited dialogue. Although my first choice for Groot was Sam Elliott.
