Three scientists -- Max and the husband and wife team, Will (Depp) and Evelyn -- have been developing a programming code for the world’s first fully self-aware computer. A group of anti-technology terrorists assassinate Will, Evelyn uploads his brain into a prototype supercomputer. Although she at first finds the experiment seems to have gone wrong, before too long Evelyn finds Will responding in computer form. She goes on to connect Will to the Internet so he can help make further scientific breakthroughs. Will asks Evelyn to connect a microphone and a camera up to the computer so he can see and speak to her as well. When the anti-technology organization finds out, they try to steal the supercomputer and destroy it, but Will no longer needs the computer to survive.

TRANSCENDENCE starring Johnny Depp, Morgan Freeman, Rebecca Hall, Cillian Murphy, Clifton Collins Jr., Kate Mara, and Paul Bettany is due out on April 18, 2014.

Nolan > Pfister. Maybe. We'll see. TRANSCENDENCE should be great.

@HughJasol, lmao. And I really hope this film is good. I'm nervous that it'll be too similar to Tron, hopefully I'm wrong.

@Dandy, agreed. At least visually and technically this should be A+ material. Just hope the story is unique and intriguing.

Pfister has delusions of grandeurs. Did the photography for the TDKR abomintaion and now thinks he's a director. Even the premise sound like a poor man's version of Source Code. But more "realistic". Here we go again. Pass.

Nolan is great when not raping Batman or giving advice on MoS (let the superheroes go Nolan, they make you look incompetent even though you're a genius when you do your own stuff), but Pfister is a no one. Snyder is a superior cinematographer and look how his shit came out. It's Mickey Rourke trying to box all over again...
