These seven character posters for NBC's upcoming take on the legendary vampire at least attempt something a little different from the usual "extreme closeup" approach, and to interesting effect.

Below we have Jonathan Rhys Myers as Dracula (posing as American entrepreneur Alexander Grayson), Victoria Smurfit as Lady Jane, Thomas Kretschmann as Abraham Van Helsing, Jessica De Gouw as Mina Murray, Oliver Jackson-Cohen as Jonathan Harker, Katie McGrath as Lucy Westernra and Nonso Anozie as R.M. Renfield.

The 10-episode series introduces Dracula as he arrives in London, posing as an American entrepreneur who maintains that he wants to bring modern science to Victorian society. In reality, he hopes to wreak revenge on the people who ruined his life centuries earlier. There’s only one circumstance that can potentially thwart his plan: Dracula falls hopelessly in love with a woman who seems to be a reincarnation of his dead wife.

Interesting.
BTW, those aren't photos, they're modified digital drawings, in what i think is Art Nouveau style. They're supposed to look like that, so no bitching about stiff postures and photoshop.

These are really quul but if only the postures weren't so stiff. It also looks like they're not well versed in photoshop. Other than that, they're great!

Yes, for once I do think this effect is intentional and not just lazy photoshop. Works for me.

@P862010: I've NEVER known Dracula to be effeminate. Smooth, yes, but in no way effeminate.

Coming from a graphic designer, these posters look god-awful. Terrible effect, boring poses. The characters don't seem to go with their backgrounds at all, they look out of place.
