Amazing X-Men will debut in November 2013, from the team of writer Jason Aaron and artist Ed McGuinness. Here's what Senior Editor Nick Lowe had to say about the project.

"Nightcrawler is dead, but that's not the end of his story. The story will involve Azazel, Nightcrawler's father, as a "demonic pirate." "It is so good, I can't wait for you guys to read it. McGuinness is a major Nightcrawler fan and particularly enthused by this project."

Coming back from the dead in comics is no big deal, but this is different for 2 reasons:
1) He was dead much longer than people suspected.
2) He is one people actuallly want to rise from the grave.

@MP79 I know bro. It was heartbreaking to see Wolverine pour out all of his emotions and pain at Nightcrawler's funeral. It'll be cool to see them interact again and shed some man tears. Lol.

Good to here Kurt's return.I just wish they didn't kill off A and B list characters save it for the C list or lower.

I want to see were Kurt stands with the X-Men(s) since the events that happened after his death(Schism & AvX). Remember he wasn't too happy with Cyclops & Wolverine because of X-Force.

Now don't get me wrong I am loving Snyders Batman run, Saga, Waids Daredevil and Fractions Hawkeye. But Xmen has always been consistently good since well into the 90s. I am never not interested in their stories. Also I was watching a panel on IGN about how the Xmen are practically their own seperate universe from Marvel because their stories and characters are so good.

Wait so they are starting a new series where Nightcrawler fights pirates and demons with some other diversity-filled X-team + Wolverine...and the first pirate is his father? Is this Disney's attempt to merge the Marvel movies with the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise? This just seems whack as hell

Alan Cumming did a wonderfull job with on X2, easily one of the best characters of the whole franchise, if not the best.

I want Excalibur. My team pitch - The original team of Kurt, Kitty, Brian Braddock, and Rachel Grey, minus Meggan plus Pixie (C'mon, she's Welsh, right?) and Wolfsbane.

Holy crap, I just realized that Karen Gillen would have made the perfect Wolfsbane.
