VIDEO: Teri Hatcher On MAN OF STEEL, And If She'd Be Up For A Cameo In The Sequel

While talking to Digital Spy about her voicework in Disney's Planes, one of the most popular Lois Lanes we've had yet says that she has indeed managed to catch Zack Snyder's Man Of Steel, and reveals what she'd have liked to have seen more of in it..

Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman may have been a bit naff, but most tend to agree that Teri Hatcher made for a great Lois Lane. In the following video interview the Desperate Housewives actress chats about seeing Man Of Steel, and why she feels more time should have been allocated to the Clark/Lois relationship. She is also asked if she'd be up for a cameo in the sequel, but answers by talking about her cameo in Smallville instead!

"I really enjoyed it, I kind of joked, 'Wow, he should work on his body'. Like anyone could say that with a straight face! In the end, what I think carries through so strongly is the relationship between Lois and Clark, Lois and Superman. Even in Man of Steel, that was my favorite part of it. I kind of wish for a little bit more of seeing them."

For some reason, I want the Batman/Superman film to be based off of Pak's book so far. Have Routh come back as Earth 2 Superman, Bale as the Batman of Earth 2, get a Wonder Woman of Earth 2 foreshadowing the future in a way. It ain't a bad idea.

@Levi - actually, yeah that is a bad idea.

Man of Steel made me want to buy Superman comics. I've always liked Batman, Nightwing and Aquaman, but never cared about Superman other than respecting him for what he is. MoS changed this.

Well, she is speaking for a lot of women. This is the reason why movies like Titanic and Avatar sit at the top of the box office.

Every wise man will tell you that you must find some way to satisfy those magical beings who make up almost 60% of the worlds population.

I think Lois was a bit busy having a hand in saving the world to be kissy kissy with Clark. Besides, they were just meeting.

Teri Hatcher will always be my Lois Lane. Hers was the definitive take imho.

She's also the reason I find short-haired women attractive because of seasons 3 & 4.

Terri Hatcher was #2 behind Dana Delaney's animated take as the best Lois. The early run of "Lois and Clark" was pretty great for its time... Unfortunately, the ratings were only so-so and they had to go campier and filled with stunt casting as the show went on to get viewers.

@113. I think MoS's Lois Lane was better because she isnt always the helpless one and actually more in action. I liked that for a change.

Like fine wine, Teri Hatcher ages gracefully.

@Nomis- I was wondering the same thing. And also, if you're going to slur Ror, "mick" is the one you're looking for. ;)

I;ll accept Paddy, Biddy, Mick or potato eater.

"Naff" means..I dunno, hokey, cheesy..a bit crap! I thought you guys had that word too.

@Ror- I'm pretty sure the only comparitive word we would have over here across the pond is the oft Grif-used word: "shit".

@Nomis- Thanks, buddy! I picked it just for the hardcore Bat-fans. "Mick", I think, is because of all of the surnames that start with "Mc". Similarly, Scots would be called "macks".

I love Teri Hatcher.
She's so likeable.

It would be amazing to have her cameo in a Man of Steel sequel.

I wouldn't mind Terri Hatcher having a cameo in MOS! I love old cameos, just small ones. She could play Lois' mom again lol.

Wish they could recast Lois though... -_-

Oh and Erica Durance was the BEST Lois so far, it's not even close.

1. Erica Durance (the best lois lane ever)
2. Amy Adams

I'd be fine with that.
Also Lynda Carter needs to play Hippolyta in a WW movie and Adam West needs a cameo in a Batman movie.

There was no Lois and Clark relationship in MOS. I didn't expect a lot, but at least some type of developing of chemistry between them. To start out right away with her meeting him as Kal-El per se...meh.
Shadowelfz
Shadowelfz - 8/15/2013, 5:08 PM
Yeah Levi sorry that sounds like a terrible idea.

And I like the fact that Lois isn't in every scene. There is more character development to work down in subsuquant sequals. Besides the whole second act was her looking for him. I think she had plenty of screen time given the dynamics of the movie.

I would probably have to agree about Erica Durance as best Lois. I liked Teri too, and I really liked Amy Adams in MoS (I'm not one of those fanboys who whines about her hair color.) Amy has definitely been the best Lois in film. The girl in Superman returns was okay (in fact, she may have been the best thing about that film, although I don't remember her name.) I did not like Margot Kidder at all. I couldn't even remotely buy her as being a good, hard-nosed reporter. It seemed to me more like she played a chariacture of a reporter. And I HATED (and I do mean HATED) the scene in Superman where she is flying with him and has the whole "can you read my mind" thought monologue that they kind of tried to make rhyme. It was terrible.
