We finally have some
Star Wars casting news! Granted probably not the type you'd prefer, but Lucasfilm's upcoming animated series set between the prequels and the original trilogy is also pretty highly anticipated. THR have learned that
David Oyelowo, Freddie Prinze Jr., Vanessa Marshall, Taylor Gray and
Steven Jay Blum are in the process of being cast as the voice leads for the series, which will make its debut in fall 2014. Once again, no character details..but feel free to speculate away!
The Butler's Oyelowo was one of the names rumored to have gone in for a reading for
Star Wars Episode V11, but there's nothing to say he isn't involved in both projects. Simon Kinberg (
X-Men: First Class), Dave Filoni (
The Clone Wars) and Greg Weisman (
Young Justice) are executive producing.
