Four New MARVEL Cable/ Streaming Network TV Shows And A Miniseries On The Way

We don't have any specific titles for you right now unfortunately, but Deadline report that the notoriously secretive studio have four new drama series and a miniseries (60 episodes in total) in the works. One could well be Agent Carter, but what could the others be?

According to Deadline, Marvel have been "quietly putting together a package of four drama series and a miniseries — a total of some 60 episodes — that would be taken out to the VOD and cable space, with Netflix, Amazon and WGN America rumored as potential candidates." Apparently they are in the very early stages, but there is already interest from digital platforms and traditional cable networks. What could they be? Well it seems that the secrecy levels have been taken to another level on this one as the site was unable to discover any details, with the nondisclosure agreements in full effect. They say it's not clear if the recently announced Agent Carter series will be included in this package, but assuming it is, what could the other shows be? Heroes For Hire? Cloak And Dagger maybe? Speculate away!

I'm hoping that one of these has something to do with Daredevil, because I can't see him fitting within Marvel Studios' cinematic plan.

Yeah, watching episodes whenever you want for only eight bucks a month? Who would want that when you can pay outrageous prices for a ton of shitty channels you'll never watch?

Broadcast television is dying a slow death. Let's speed up the inevitable and put it out of our misery.

"I'm hoping that one of these has something to do with Daredevil"

I really think Daredevil could make a solid series. Of course it wouldn't be the same style and tone as SHIELD, but maybe more in line with The Shield, Sons of Anarchy, etc. It also wouldn't be super-effects heavy, since it's mostly street criminals etc. Would it be better as a movie? In a way. But a series could really do him justice, and it would be a smart way to re-introduce the character to audiences.

As long as they do Heroes For Hire...it's made for TV drama. Actually, if the show gets popular enough, they build up to a movie!

"PEGGY could be the miniseries"

I agree. In fact, I would assume if that concept is going forth, it WILL be a mini-series. It could be an interesting show, but having a mini-series that ties in to their series currently airing makes more sense than having two shows about sorta the same thing competing with each other, but from the same company.

Could they technically do a Spider-Man live-action TV series? I mean, Marvel does still own the television rights for the character. They could even technically set it in the MCU, as long as there are no Spidey references in the movies, right?
