FANTASTIC FOUR: 'Sue Storm' Casting Said To Be Down To Three

Now they are the three names we've heard already mind you, but whereas the original report stated that there were plenty of other actresses in line, The Schmoes now report that Sue Storm will definitely be played by one of the following ladies..

While the following actresses were already named in Variety's report, according to The Schmoes either Saoirse Ronan, 19, Kate Mara, 30, or Margot Robbie, 23, will definitely end up playing Sue Storm, aka Invisible Woman, in Josh Trank's Fantastic Four reboot. It seems one of these three will end up signing on for the role, but we'll have to wait a while longer to see who ends up nabbing it. Michael B. Jordan has signed on to play Sue's brother, Johnny (the Human Torch).

I would like Sue Storm to be Asian, if it were announced that Michael B. Jordan will play Johnny Storm in the FF reboot.

They all look like potentially good fits for the role.
I'm particularly excited about Michael B Jordan as Human Torch. He's an incredible actor and was always amazed by him in Friday Night Lights (he's also great in Chronicle of course!)

The Jordan casting is official. So tons of people won't be going anywhere near it (including me).

Meh, all hot, but two of them are too young and the other... I dunno I'm not feeling it with these options.

The Schmoes are going to end up like Latino Reviews...especially with running with actors that have been picked & saying one will be chosen. DUH! How is this news?

It's like there's some executive at Fox who is determined to keep casting actors who could not possibly be related as Sue and Johnny. Like Jessica Alba wasn't bad enough. I can't wait to see Danny DeVito as Ben and Jackie Chan as Reed. Wanda Sykes will make an awesome Doctor Doom.

If Michael B Jordan is the Torch then Kerry Washington for Sue Storm. Plus Madds Milkenson for Doctor Doom

@Cap - obviously you care, since you replied.

And pay attention - practically every post about the possible Jordan casting led to huge threads, with tons of posters saying it was the wrong idea.

So get over it. This is not going to be a popular choice.

When exactly was Jordan confirmed as Torch?
Lhornbk
Lhornbk - 10/24/2013, 3:29 PM
I just did a google search. I found NOTHING from either Jordan himself, or the studio or producers or director, about him being officially confirmed as the Human Torch. Just that one report from the Schmoes, which I am NOT taking at face value until I hear from the actor or someone else official that he has been signed.

Wait..Jordan was OFFICIALLY cast as Johnny?
That's weak. Hope they at least cast rest of team more accurately.

If Jordan is Johnny Storm, at least cast a black actress as Sue Storm, be consistent about it. Why not? They are brother and sister! But based on the first 2 FF movies and all Fux Marvel properties, I'm pretty sure this movie will be shit.

Kate Mara. Saoirse isn't my cup of tea and I have no idea who the other one is.

I may have jumped the gun on the "official" part of it.

I went to Google News & typed in "Michael B. Jordan Fantastic Four," and several stories came up. But going back, I don't see anything from a good source, like Deadline, etc.

So it seems official, but maybe not...

how old is jordan..?? unless this time round johnny's the older bro of sue, then only kate mara makes sense for Sue. look wise however, margot robbie all the way.

still..i'm just baffled by all three picks. out of ALL good actresses out there, these are the top 3 choices..?

how about Rachel McAdams..if Rosamund Pike's already too old now..?? OR..Rosario Dawson, if they wanna keep the NATURAL sibling relationship between sue and johnny.

@MexicanSuperman,

Hate to break it to you, but I don't bitch about everything- by any stretch of the imagination.

But this, however... they're just asking for trouble.

@MediaMan

If you don't mind me asking, why do you not like the casting for Johnny Storm? I truly hope it's not a skin color issue because, while some purists argue with the ethnicity change, it's hardly the first time such a thing has occurred. Nor would it be the first time that such a change has been successful.

For all of the reasons for this movie to be either good or bad, NONE of that will have anything to do with Jordan but will have EVERYTHING to do with writing and directing.
