And it's probably not who you were expecting! The silhouetted image released as a teaser led many fans to assume the new member of the team would be Cable, but it's someone quite a bit more..Venomous! That totally gave it away didn't it? Okay, yeah it's Venom.

"In a all-new story written by Brian Bendis with art by Nick Bradshaw, according to Marvel: “The Guardians are about to welcome two new members – including Captain Marvel and one Mystery Marvel Superstar you’d never expect to see with the Guardians of the Galaxy! I will be the first to say it but that is dumb. I know Venom has used guns in the past but I always felt it was overkill. I think there is other people that would have been better picks but I don't work at Marvel so what do I know what is good or bad.

Makes sense considering that the symbiote is alien. Now, how will this play out in the MCU is another question.

I don't get the Flash Thompson hate. I think he's a fantastic character, and his solo title was great for the first half, and ya know... okay for the second. He's (venom) also an alien so I don't get the "He doesn't belong in space" mentality... I'm psyched! He's getting the Bendis treatment, and he's one of the best writers IMHO.

I don`t know about this either venom in space. but i always like this new venom concept.I like all the new characters:Venom, Winter soldier(bucky), Daken(wolverine`s son), Skaar(hulk`s son), Vulcan(cyclops & havok`s brother).Some people make a big issue with change but wanna complain about the same old stuff happening in comics.

I guess oldhardwood is talking about Venom being in gotg. I thought he was opining about homosexuality and minorities. Grammar check bro, makes you sound more intelligent. Also, I am an old school comic fan and couldn't care less about this. If you want GOTG to be like it was in the 80's then go back and read those books.

Should've done an original character. Guardians was all about the random guys back in the day. Now it's just a matter of who to put on the team so the series sells more. I'm gonna read the 2008 stuff again. Along with Annihilation.

I don't understand all the hate for this. Flash Venom has been one of Marvel's best new characters as of late; he is a very compelling character IMO. Also, this may be an opportunity for Marvel to dive further into the mysterious origins of the symbiote; there is obviously a lot of story to be told there as well. I foresee a hell of an adventure on the horizon for the Guardians to partake in. ...needless to say, I'm feeling this.
