We'll have to keep this one in the rumor category for now, but word is that Kelsey Grammar has secretly shot a cameo for Bryan Singer's upcoming mutant epic, X-Men: Days Of Future Past. Showbiz Spy say that their insider has confirmed that the actor shot his scenes during post-production "on the Fox lot under the impression that Kelsey would be on set to film a pilot for a different project." It does make sense that the future version of Beast would appear, since Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart are returning to play the older versions of Nicholas Hoult's First Class teammates. Grammar's take on the character is one of the few things fans seemed to like in the fairly underwhelming X-Men 3, so this news should be welcomed..if true!

Best Beast was Kelsey.

Hoult looks kind of like a cheap version of the old Werewolf.
The blue is so bright he looks cartoony and the muscles he's wearing under his shirt make him look like he padded himself. Just not natural.

This Beast rocks! Hoult's wannabe Hulk does not.

Kelsey Grammers Beast, is the best Beast that has been betrayed on screen. Other versions are just to animalistic.

These movies will never be great until they start showing the X-Men team rather than just it's leader.

I have no doubt that this movie will centralize around Hugh Jackman, Michael Fastbender, James McAvoy and everyone else will come in second best if they come in at all,

X-Men more than anything needs to be treated like Avengers where all the team are equally important as each other, they did a really good job of this in the first two movies but failed in The Last Stand and First Class and I am very sceptical about them getting the balance right in this one, as it seems it would be very difficult to do with such a large cast, hopefully I'm wrong.

the one thing x-men 3 got right was the beast design.

You know, this would honestly be the coolest news I'd heard in a while... IF it turned out to be true. Grammar was one of the few shining lights in X-Men: The Last Stand, and his exclusion from Days of Future Past was the one weak spot in what was otherwise a stellar ensemble cast.

If his version of Beast actually DID show up, even for just a cameo, it would definitely rocket my excitement for this film into the stratosphere!

Yes please! Kelsey Grammar's casting as Beast is the second best choice that was made for these films, after tapping Patrick Stewart to be Prof. X.
