"The Rock" Looks A Bit Miffed On First HERCULES Poster

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson just posted our very first look at the theatrical poster for Brett Ratner's upcoming take on Hercules: The Thracian Wars. If the promotional material we've seen for the movie so far is anything to go by..there'll definitely be lots of shouting in it anyway.

Everyone knows the legend of Hercules and his twelve labors. Our story begins after the labors, and after the legend… Haunted by a sin from his past, Hercules has become a mercenary. Along with five faithful companions, he travels ancient Greece selling his services for gold and using his legendary reputation to intimidate enemies. But when the benevolent ruler of Thrace and his daughter seek Hercules’ help to defeat a savage and terrifying warlord, Hercules finds that in order for good to triumph and justice to prevail… he must again become the hero he once was… he must embrace his own myth… he must be Hercules.

Hercules stars Dwayne Johnson, Aksel Hennie, Rufus Sewell, Ian McShane, Joseph Fiennes, John Hurt, Rebecca Ferguson and Tobias Santelmann. The film is set to hit theaters July 25th, 2014, and we'll get a look at the first trailer for it tommorow.

I like The Rock but he is not fussy when it comes to movie roles..putting it kindly.

Brett Ratner is directing.

Adjust your expectations accordingly.

'It's Hercules with no mythology.'

Is that correct?
No mythology is verified?

That would be unfortunate and a missed opportunity.

Why would Kevin cameo? Does that mean Adam West should cameo in every Batman film? Why didn't Dean Cain cameo in MOS? It would be cool if he did (which he isn't because I know Kevin), but the logic that just because he played Hercules in a former series doesn't mean that he should be in any Hercules film.

I love the Rock, but Hercules without mythology is a total waste. I don't see the point in Hercule without it
