Earlier on we heard from directors Joe and Anthony Russo on where they are with the follow up to their excellent
Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Aside from suggesting that the story will most likely be Bucky-centric, they didn't really say too much -- but they're not the only ones returning. Writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely are once again penning the script for this threequel, and while talking to Collider they reveal that they've been working on it since last year. They say that they're still in the ideas stage but it's coming together, and that -- since they will obviously be pretty much at the mercy of wherever Joss Whedon takes the character in his
Avenger sequel -- they've read Whedon's script for
Age Of Ultron and are happy with where that movie leaves Steve Rogers. Markus and McFeely also state that they want to ensure that
"other characters in Captain America 3 don’t overshadow Captain America since he needs to be the star of the film.". There's more too, so be sure to watch the vid in full.
At the end of The Winter Soldier we see a (
SPOILER ALERT) badly burned Brock Rumlow (Frank Grillo), and are give a definite tease that the character will return as Crossbones somewhere down the line. As I'm sure you can guess from the article thumbnail; that's what I'd like to see happen in Cap 3, but what about you guys? Sound off in the usual place.
