Who is MYSTIQUE? MYSTIQUE is Raven Darkhölme, but as a shape-shifter she has several other identities. MYSTIQUE, throughout her history has been fighting in both side of the fence, once as a member of the evil Brotherhood and at times with the X-Men. Whatever are her motivations and actions it is occasionally shrouded in mystery.
MYSTIQUE is a Marvel Comics' character created by artist David Cockrum and writer Chris Claremont, she first appeared in Ms. Marvel #16. Despite MYSTIQUE's history of crime, she works with the X-Men's Professor X, in a short-lived series. She is later voted straight into the X-Men.
CHANGING LOOKS First Appearance MYSTIQUE powers allows her to assume many forms but she does have a default form of blue skin, red hair and yellow eyes, and in this form she usually wears a uniform. The first time we meet MYSTIQUE in her true form she wore a white bodysuit and long skirt slit to the waist on each side, held by straps on each side, which made it unclear whether one saw skin at the sides or a blue-black bodysuit underneath. The skull belt was not only decoration. Actually, the skulls were small weapons or other devices which MYSTIQUE could shift back to their proper form whenever she wished to use them.
Changing Designs The design of her basic outfit tend to change from time to time (which is true to many comicbook characters), mostly this is due to artist interpretation but can easily be explained by MYSTIQUE's power.
Sexy Militant Later she would change her uniform into a bodice, short jacket and thigh-high heeled boots held by red straps in combination with a red weapons’ belt. The outfit first was in black leather but was quickly exchanged to a white version. During this time she was coerced in working with X-Factor.
X-Factor Operative Her second X-Factor outfit was a bodysuit in her traditional colors.
A Sultry Look For a brief moment she wore a more elegant and sexier version bodysuit, similar to her standard uniform but without the skirt. It included a skull choker and a bracelet.
Reptilian MYSTIQUE was genetically changed by Prosh’s machines, which made her default appearance sporting scales with slicked back hair.
MYSTIQUE Assassin When she was planning to assassinate Senator Kelly she wore a more modern outfit: black leather pants and jacket along with her standard skull jewelry.
White Outfit She was captured and was sent into prison, but a prison cell can't hold MYSTIQUE for long. When she escaped she wore a simple white costume.
Prof. X Agent Professor Charles Xavier was forced to make MYSTIQUE his secret agent, as his previous one, Prudence Leighton, has died and MYSTIQUE is the only one suitable enough to complete the missions. While an agent for the professor MYSTIQUE, usually wears a black outfit.
FOXX MYSTIQUE later infiltrates the X-Men, by masquerading as a young girl named Foxx.
Get MYSTIQUE After the big battle in the Messiah Complex event, where we are left with Professor X shot in the head, MYSTIQUE regains consciousness from the commotion and escapes from the area. Cyclops later asked Wolverine to track down MYSTIQUE and permanently take her out. Wolverine was able to stab her, and she was left to die (but we know that she did not die).
Dark X-Men Next we see MYSTIQUE is with Norman Osborn's Dark X-Men
LIVE MEDIA APPEARANCE 1. Rebecca Romijn In the film trilogy X-Men, X2: X-Men United, and X-Men: The Last Stand, MYSTIQUE is played by Rebecca Romijn, she is a member of Magneto's Brotherhood of Mutants. Her true form is serpentine, having scaly skin and reptilian eyes but with combed-back dark red hair. She is also a nudist; while she can mimic the appearance of clothing using her powers, she chooses not to in her natural form. She can transform herself into humans, humanoids, and human-shaped objects.
2. Jennifer Lawrence The young MYSTIQUE will appear in X-Men: First Class where she will be portrayed by actresses Jennifer Lawrence
POWERS & ABILITIES Note: Due to the nature of comicbooks being an on-going tale, the character's powers along with his appearance, is in a constant state of flux. Metamorph: can psionically alter the formation of her biological cells at will. As a result she can cause herself to look and sound like an exact duplicate of any human, humanoid, or semi-humanoid being of either sex, wearing virtually any kind of clothing. Her control is so exact that she can precisely duplicate another persons retina pattern in her own eyes, finger, palm and skin-pore patterns on her own hands and skin, and vocal cords to match voices to the point of corresponding voiceprints. While she can make herself look exactly like a person who is physically bigger than herself, she will not weigh as much as the real person does. Although she can maintain the form of a person of her height, weight, and build indefinitely, the longer that she maintains the form of a person physically bigger than herself, the greater the strain she feels.
Metamorphic Adaptation: After her enhancement MYSTIQUE has shown the ability to adapt her body depending on her situation at the time. She was able to adapt her body in order to camouflage according to her surroundings, shift her organs into her lower extremities, heal from numerous bullet wounds in at least a few minutes, and mimic the textures of metals.
Enhance Physical Attributes: ability to enhance her strength, speed, agility, reflexes, and senses.
Accelerated Healing: MYSTIQUE's nature allows her to repair and regenerate herself from minor to near death injuries in a short span of time, much faster than an ordinary human.
Toxin & Disease Resistance: She is also able to develop resistance and immunities to toxins and diseases.
Retarded Aging: her metamorphic powers have retarded the degenerative effects of her aging process.
Psychic Defense: MYSTIQUE's nature also provides her with a natural defense against telepathic intrusion.
AbilitiesExpert Combatant: MYSTIQUE is a highly skilled combatant

Polyglot: MYSTIQUE has stated that she knows at least eleven languages; besides her presumably native German and English, she has demonstrated fluency in Spanish, Portuguese, French, and Czech.
