Who is AMANDA WALLER?
Dr. Amanda Blake Waller is a DC Comics character who first appeared in Legends #1 in 1986. She was created by John Ostrander, Len Wein, and John Byrne. Despite not possessing any superpowers, she has persistently proven herself a powerful foe of the superheroes of the DC universe and antiheroine.
First Appearance
AMANDA WALLER, nicknamed "the Wall", is a former congressional aide and government agent often placed in charge of the Suicide Squad, a semi-secret government-run group of former supervillains working in return for amnesty.
AMANDA WALLER is a widow who escaped Chicago's Cabrini–Green housing projects with her surviving family after one of her sons, one of her daughters and her husband were murdered.
AMANDA WALLER's Family
Waller eventually obtained a doctorate in political science and became a congressional aide. During that work, she discovered the existence of the first two incarnations of the "Suicide Squad". Taking elements from both of these, she proposed the development of its third incarnation to the White House and was placed in charge upon its approval.
AMANDA WALLER formed "The Agency" a quasi-independent branch of Task Force X; this would later turn into the organization known as Checkmate.
Waller's tenure as the official in charge of the Squad was tumultuous and controversial. Despite many successes, she developed a habit of defying her superiors in Washington in order to achieve goals both legitimate and personal on more than one occasion.
Her relationship with the Squad itself was one of mutual dislike. Most of the team's criminal members did not really take to Waller's methods, and even the team's heroes were often at odds with Waller.
AMANDA WALLER at times accompanies the squad on their "field mission" and one of these missions, though unwillingly, brought them in Apokolips. Waller faced-off with the Female Furies creator Granny Goodness.
The Wall would later find herself promoted to Secretary of Metahuman Affairs in Lex Luthor's Presidential Administration.
Even after Luthor's downfall in his presidency, after being jailed several times. AMANDA WALLER bounced back, and continues to work and manipulate events in the sideline. For someone who does not possess any superhuman powers, she definitely is one of DC's most powerful individual.
Proof of how tough AMANDA WALLER is

To those who are making requests, check first [here] because I might have done an article on the character already. If I have not, please be patient, I will get on it as soon as possible (but consider the fact that I spend hours writing one of these articles). Try to limit your request to characters that already have been adapted to live media, so that the feature will at least be relevant to the site – Comic Book Movie(though I include TV characters). Characters in Manga or Anime’, I am not particularly familiar of, I am not discounting these characters but it will probably take some time before I write a feature on them because I have to read up on these characters. Thank you for reading these articles! If there are errors on the feature article above, blame it on my age, humanity and ignorance. Just be sure to check the comment section for the corrections, any error I made will surely be pointed out and corrected by much bigger geeks (because there will always be a bigger geek out there). -This has been PollMaster inviting you to the geekside. MABUHAY CBM and Godspeed!
