Terminator needs Salvation

The future of the Terminator is in peril...
I'm a regular fan of the Terminator Movies. The first one I clearly remembered was T2, and to see that liquid metal effects way back then was simply awesome. I watched Terminator 1 years after and felt it was ok, nice use of a robot"Arnie" for a robot. Terminator 3 for me was still watchable. I just recently started watching the Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles... and the only thing that runs through my mind is Summer Glau.

Terminator Salvation, what I felt was a good change of pace. It has the feeling that the series had already matured, much like its viewers. I am really pumped up to see another movie from this series. So, this news saddens me a little bit that franchise future is a bit on shaky grounds.

Article from IMDB reads:

After "Terminator Salvation" grossed over $371 million worldwide this summer, a fifth installment to the popular franchise seemed inevitable. That may not be the case. Producers Derek Anderson and Victor Kubicek are reportedly looking to sell the rights to the property either partially or completely as their companies work their way through bankruptcy court.According to The Los Angeles Times, the duo has hired a financial advisory firm to "evaluate strategic alternatives." Halcyon has one and only one asset at their disposal: the "Terminator" franchise. A spokesman told the paper they would be "contacting a variety of studios and independent companies" and...

I wasn't too crazy about TS. In my opinion this franchise died with T3.

btw,@access, the trick is to see the first terminator before the second. It's the only way to fully appreciate them both

I freaking HATED Terminator: Salvation. I thought after years of building up the great John Connor, this was a pretty dissappointing movie. I agree with supermarioworle...it should have ended with three (actually two, but three was still fun).

And btw, access...good choice of screen name, very nostalgic! I remember the Marvel-DC crossover back in the day! Cheers!

Terminator should stay in Cameron's hands.... or at least his under his supervision

@supermarioworldE - When the first terminator was shown, I was still young to watch it. that's why the first one I watched was Terminator 2 because before that I don't have any idea what terminator is... :) but yeah one of these days I have to have myself a Terminator Marathon, of course starting with 1 then so on.

@TheDurkinKnight - thanks I guess I'm just a Marvel/DC guy I love both universe.

@access, same here. When I was a kid, all they used to show was T2 on the WB (pre-CW) on Saturday nights. That movie made my weekends

@TheDurkinKnight, Sorry, I meant to say the Franchise
ended with T2

@The unknown, I doubt even Cameron could fix up this franchise. He's getting senile. Just look at Avatar!
