Stan Lee Tweets that he wants to be in Batman

The king of comic book movie cameos wants to do some DC movies as well!
This from Twitter...

Wouldn't it be cool if DC gave me a cameo in their next Batman movie! What are you waiting for? Start a letter-writing campaign!

---
That is an interesting notion to see Stan "The Man" Lee in a DC Movie, but I think he has over-saturated himself in comic book movies. It's a nice Easter egg for us fans, but it gets redundant after awhile (just my opinion).

It doesn't get redundant, and that's not my opinion, it's a fact.
CaptainAmerica - 9/29/2009, 7:19 AM
Stan is the man...Love his cameos.
spideysweb - 9/29/2009, 8:20 AM
NO it would not be cool STAN if you was in the next BATMAN lol!

It was a nice touch in the first couple of MARVEL movies but seeing him all the time, takes you outta the movies, sort of!

Luv STAN THE MAN, but no more friggin' cameos! : D

Damn he's LARRY KING in VENOM WTF?? Whats wrong with the real LARRY KING?? : /

The best STAN CAMEO or even part though was when he was WILLY the FF's local POSTMAN, now that was cool, he was great for the part! ; )
LEEE777 - 9/29/2009, 8:37 AM
I agree with ya @ ACCESS!!
LEEE777 - 9/29/2009, 8:39 AM
Thanks Stan, but no thanks...
BmanHall - 9/29/2009, 8:49 AM
I say bring on the cameos. It doesn not take away from the movies...This is the least we could do for a man that has brought us so much.
spideysweb - 9/29/2009, 8:53 AM
The guy is the legend that created these characters - he deserves some respect and if that means a 20 second cameo here and there whats the problem with that!?!
joshw24 - 9/29/2009, 8:53 AM
isnt that like ronald mcdonald going to a burger king drivethru? lol!I dont mind him in the marvel movies but to crossover to dc... i think he's looking for a rumble! haha.. j/k!
KeepItReal - 9/29/2009, 8:58 AM
@josh, couldn't have said it any better.
spideysweb - 9/29/2009, 9:04 AM
not sure wut to say. btw, isnt he playin larry king in iron man 2, not venom?

woo hoo!
jallanr - 9/29/2009, 9:09 AM
lol how strange
DarthMulder - 9/29/2009, 9:09 AM
It does get redundant but it's over in a sec so why not. Which is your favorite cameo of his? Mine was in Daredevil!
Shaman - 9/29/2009, 9:25 AM
he knows batman is the man.
SHHH - 9/29/2009, 9:27 AM
@shaman, I love the Heffner look alike in Iron Man.
spideysweb - 9/29/2009, 9:29 AM
It would not be a Marvel movie without him. But it would be cool to see him in a dc flick. Especially if it was not leaked and known until the movie was released.
Number21 - 9/29/2009, 9:36 AM
Naw his best cameo was when he was Hugh Hefner in iron man. He was bringing in the ladies. ;)
Rokrad - 9/29/2009, 10:30 AM
stan as Heffner was the best of his cameos
Swiftsword777 - 9/29/2009, 10:41 AM
no. it takes me out of the movie every time.

grif - 9/29/2009, 10:52 AM
Stan Lee for Dr Strange
Robsaggs - 9/29/2009, 10:52 AM
Stan the man has got a plan, but stan yo man u wont be in batman.
Misterfan - 9/29/2009, 11:12 AM
joshw24 - Stan DID NOT create Batman. That particular honor goes to (the late) Bob Kane! Plus Stan is Marvel, Batman is DC. This is just another example of the glory hound once again seeking the limelight!
loganoneil - 9/29/2009, 11:20 AM
Hey Logan!!! how you doin?

I just think that stan really loves comics. Not matter who they're from. He got nothing but love for all comics. I still rather not see him in the cameo but it wont kill me. =P
KeepItReal - 9/29/2009, 11:26 AM
If only Bob Kane was still alive to cameo in the batman films. As for Stan Lee, Leave him to cameo in marvel. Him in DC would be too weird. Besides, People who don't read comics would think that Batman was owned by marvel
supermarioworldE - 9/29/2009, 11:28 AM
Exactly @ GRIF!!

Misterfan @ Lmao!!!!

LEEE777 - 9/29/2009, 11:57 AM
Stan Lee should be in every movie
JohnnyKrypton - 9/29/2009, 1:03 PM
loganoneil: For gods sake, I know Stan Lee didnt create Batman! I know the difference between Marvel and DC, lol!!!
joshw24 - 9/29/2009, 1:20 PM
lol @ Josh :)
CaptainAmerica - 9/29/2009, 2:02 PM
Down with Stan Lee cameos!
Betty - 9/29/2009, 2:57 PM
i could see stand lee in a cameo for a documentry on the bat cause him and bob kane were good friends but
not in the next movie or any dc movie , i understand his comeos in the marvel movies but stay away from dc
gothamknight611 - 9/29/2009, 3:30 PM
Real - que pasa, mi amiga? I don't think it's comics so much as it's the SPOTLIGHT Stan loves. I think he's jealous of all the attention 'The Dark Knight' got and he wants in on the action!

Betty - AMEN, preach ON!!!!!
loganoneil - 9/29/2009, 3:40 PM
I think Stan is just joking around for irony's sake.
MovieTheaterLad - 9/29/2009, 4:17 PM
he always pulls me RIGHT out of the movie. I know he's a legened and all, but Batman isn't his, a cool cameo would be from Jack Nicholson or Michael Keaton, but cameos period wouldn't work in a Nolan world i don't think.
valeriesghost - 9/29/2009, 4:38 PM
logan ;-)

What happened to MultiPurposes' article from yesterday? LOL!
JonF - 9/29/2009, 5:04 PM
I think it would be a good thing if it were a surprise. And Stan did some work for DC back in the day when he wrote the (not so good) "Just Imagine" series. And one of the re-imagined characters was Batman.
SlurpeeGuy - 9/29/2009, 5:09 PM
I got an idea why not have Ryan Reynolds play Stan Lee!
access - 9/29/2009, 5:30 PM
@ access

lol

i like his cameos in the marvel movies, but he only cameos in the character's movies that he created. he's not in ALL marvel movies. he shouldn't be in DC though, he didn't create anything over there, at least not that i know of
CorndogBurglar - 9/29/2009, 5:39 PM
Let's see Stan the Man!
Darekster - 9/29/2009, 5:52 PM
Stan should stick with Marvel & leave it @ that!
Spock - 9/29/2009, 6:40 PM
I don't blame him; I would like to appear in a batman film
Evil1991 - 9/29/2009, 7:12 PM
@Evil1991-who wouldn't
access - 9/29/2009, 7:14 PM
If he wants to be in a DC film I think he needs to humble himself for it to work with DC fans. Maybe he can be the guy who says "is it a bird? Is it a plane?" And then bird shit lands on his face and his next line is "Yeah it's a bird alright".

But I still prefer Marvel.
Acerimmer1 - 9/29/2009, 7:59 PM

logan: nothing much. y tu? =)

so stan thinks he can have the batman? comics is his life. let him die a happy old man. =P its weird though. marvel intruding into the dc world. hasnt it been weird enough with disney buying out marvel. what about dark horse? does he want to do a cameo in Hellboy too? lol!
KeepItReal - 9/29/2009, 8:56 PM
Jon - I know, I know, quit bustin' my chops (LMFAO!). You've got to admit, Stan's actions on this one seem PURELY self-motivated (lending credence to my original arguement that Lee isn't as 'peaches-and-cream' as you and others would like to believe). I mean c'mon, getting people to start a letter writing campaign to get himself a movie cameo for a character he had absolutely NOTHING to do with seems a BIT selfish and, well... ARROGANT (if you ask me)! I wonder how he'd feel if McFarlane started a petition to cameo in the next 'Iron Man' film, just because he created Spawn.

Real - nada. I disagree, DON'T humor the old geezer (his head is already too big!). Like I was telling Jon, maybe other comic book people should follow Stan's example - McFarlane in 'Iron Man', Mike Mignola in the next 'X-Men Origins', hell, James O'Barr could appear in the Green Lantern, etc! The whole idea is ABSOULTELY ABSURD!

Acerimmer1 - HYSTERICAL! I love it!! Now THAT cameo I WOULD pay to see!!!
loganoneil - 9/29/2009, 9:38 PM
logan: hehehe... i suppose. he's just old. My gramps just made 101 this year so I guess Im just of the mind awww let em have it! haha..but i hear you...
KeepItReal - 9/29/2009, 9:49 PM
I would rather see Denny O'Neil, Jim Aparo, Kelly Jones, Neil Adams or any of the old creators that helped make Bats great in the modern or silver age. Heck, CG Bob Kane and watch Stan pitch a fit at being out done by his friend again. LOL
JYCowboy - 9/29/2009, 11:43 PM
Why not let Stan be Batman!
access - 9/30/2009, 12:05 AM
Stan Lee is the man. But has Bob Kane made any cameos in any Batman film? Has Stan been involved in any Batman comics (I did heard he did once-- he is own take of the Dark Knight as an avenging Afro-American Wrestler if my memory serves me correctly ). A cross over cameo is only ok if you can have Stan stand next to a large Bob Kane portrait or as JYCowboy suggested CGI. But since this is Nolan's Batman universe it should be very very very subtle and quick or no cameo at all.
Kalabog - 9/30/2009, 2:18 AM
@I think what you're referering to "Kabayan" is Just Imagine Stan Lee creating Batman.
access - 9/30/2009, 2:47 AM
I highly doubt Stan even knows how to Twitter, let alone use a computer.
iNsaneMilesy - 9/30/2009, 3:00 AM
are you sure about that @iNsaneMilesy - because from what I'm reading from his twits - it's definitely stan.
access - 9/30/2009, 3:09 AM

smilinstanlee:
It seems people really read this stuff! I tweeted about doing a cameo in Batman and saw dozens of mentions of it on the web today! Wow!
access - 9/30/2009, 3:17 PM
why the hell would he be in batman. he didnt do anything at all for that character.
Duhdaduh - 9/30/2009, 5:03 PM
I guess his banking on -"I was a good friend of Bob Kane."
access - 9/30/2009, 5:26 PM
Don't think that's gonna happen... Although I can't blame him either. Batman kicks ass. There would be something wrong with him if he didn't want to be in one of the movies.

Me for The Joker ;)
HeyVanity - 9/30/2009, 6:03 PM
I don't mind him popping up in films. I even laughed when he was rejected as a guest at Reed's and Sue's wedding in the awful FF2 and when Stark mistook him for Hugh Heffner in IRON MAN.

But, that's all I personally want. Just an appearance playing a regular person.

Now, we hear he's going to play Larry King in IM2 and word was he'll play Odin in THOR? That's what I don't want.
