Stan Lee Worried About His Thor Cameo

Stan Lee Worried About His Thor Cameo

Poor Stan is waiting by the phone for a call from Kenneth Branagh...

What ho, Brigadiers! ‘Tis time for the pearls of wisdom I so selflessly dispense! As you read on, feel free to take notes if you wish.

After that brilliant intro, I need a great follow-up. Here’s an item: Don’t wanna worry you, but haven’t been called for my Thor cameo yet

Haven’t heard from Thor’s director, the unbelievably talented Ken Branagh (I call him Ken to impress you) Could he have forgotten my cameo?

I’m kind’a worried. I hope Ken isn’t working so hard to create a great Thor cameo for me that he neglects the rest of the movie.

Thiough I'm the soul of modesty, I often feel that my small role is the main part of the movie. The rest is just everyone else’s long cameo

Y’know, to paraphrase my pal Shakespeare, each one of us has our own cameo in the movie of life. My Brigadiers and I are all bit players!

This might be good news for some, but for me it's still nice to see Stan in the movies from characters he helped create. Excelsior!

-ACCESS out. Godspeed and MABUHAY!

I think ol Stan is losing it and is getting slowly phased out of the new MCU!

Or he's just playin around and has nothing better to tweet about.

I'm going to say yes. Stan is the man, and he's only annoying if you are actually crazy enough to think he's serious.

MagnaSolaris - 2/4/2010, 10:07 PM
I know he's not serious, but... oh...well... he is stan the man... I guess he can tweet about his cameos and all that stuff if he want to.

credible albeit magical world!

DDD @ Exactly, THOR should be like LOTRS not a [frick]ing comedy lol!!

I'm with BmanHall on this. Let's all together STOP talking about his insignificant cameos. INCLUDING STAN LEE. I like him in them but not enough to notice them or talk about them or read news about them.

LEEE- Kevin Smith should have put Stan as god in Dogma.

jusme6@ i dunno, its getting close to being as bad. and this one will run for weeks since it doesnt come out for a little while.

Shaman - 2/5/2010, 7:55 AM
Well like i said, i'm sure CBM doesn't choose which trailer appears. It's done random but at the moment, there's only the wolfman trailer to show.

Where was his Blade cameo??
JonSolo
JonSolo - 2/5/2010, 10:27 AM
A lil annoying but lets SAT question this thing.
Perseus is to Thor as Zeus is to Stan Lee. The son of a god and the father above the pages of "Journey into Mystery" moving the pieces.
Give the man a cameo!
BIGBMH
BIGBMH - 2/5/2010, 10:27 AM
Glad to see I'm not the only one that get's tired of heraing that over and over again. At one point the guy was like "You were bitten by the beast" and I was just so fed up I yelled "No! I wasn't d%#$ you!"
As for Stan and his cameos, let him have them. (at least for character he creates) We wouldn't have these movies without him. He seems to really enjoy doing it, so I feel like the cameos are a great way of paying respect to his work. I do find it quite amusing that every time I read about what he's written on Twitter (this site, I don't use twitter) he always mentions his cameos. "The Spider-man reboot will be fine. I called up Marc Webb and he assured me that I'll get my cameo."
"I really liked The Dark Knight. However when I saw the scene with the mob meeting I thought it would have been a lot better if they gave me a cameo right then, even if I didn't create Batman!" "I swear! The chief of the Navi looked like me. You can pretty much say I had a cameo in Avatar! Excelsior!"
A bit of an exaggeration, but you get the idea. Gotta love him.
CorndogBurglar
CorndogBurglar - 2/5/2010, 11:13 AM
@ wellwisher

he only cameos in movies of characters that he created or helped create.

and the whole, "it takes me out of the movie" thing is ridiculous, guys. really?? so when you saw him standing on the beach in x-men, do you mean to tell me that you suddenly remembered you were sitting in a damn theatre and you were only watching a movie?? come on
Joe6Pack74
Joe6Pack74 - 2/5/2010, 11:32 AM
They ought to just make "CGI Stan" and leave it at that.
thwhtGuardian
thwhtGuardian - 2/5/2010, 11:33 AM
I'm with cdb. It doesn't bother me at all. Stan's the man, shaking his hand in boston a few years back was truly a high point in my life. He seems all corny and superficial, but he's probably the most genuine person I've ever met, celebrity wise. We had like a half hour conversation while we were waiting for the train to come, it was awesome.
