The pics from Saturday night's SCREAM 2010 awards gave away what the Green Lantern's power battery would look like in the movie, but now we have a pic of the actual thing itself...

OMFG I............ LUV IT btw It looks like something out of the matrix but you gotta luv or hate it I personally love it now this power ring gunna be in the green lantern comic books like all the oher green lanterns using thier movie costume god hopes not cause I love the orional power batery well here's for something to look toward to for 2011!!!

Also yeah Hal Jordan livin the life in his apartment he's sure that when someone will walk in they won't see a green GLOWING alien power battery sitting on the table

It looks like it has the actual symbol in the center.. so I guess I can deal with that. Hope the director just doesn't try to customize it too much, I'll admit this has me a little worried, though looks like he's just creating a style; though I wish it was a little closer to the comics, of which I'm an avid reader. I'm sure the movie'll still be great. We'll see...

It's a visual medium for the film. It passes and looks better than I expected. I didn't think it was the same Lantern from the Scream Awards, but I'll take what is given. As long as it succeeds as a GL film, I'm a happy fanboy.

I do not like the look of that AT ALL. It has that same weird look as the suit does which I also dislike pretty strongly. I get that they're trying to make it look all very alien, but there's nothing wrong with the comic book look of the character or lantern IMO! I don't have high hopes for this movie. Casino Royale was a great movie but was really only James Bond in name alone. Green Lantern might just end up the same way judging from what we've seen so far. Hal's costume looks horrible, Kilowog looks ridiculous and the lantern looks shit. :(

Also, i really hope the battery in the comics doesn't start to look like this one does. They tend to do that sometimes and its annoying.

With the concept art and released pics so far, I have a consensus this could turn out like Ghost Rider. You may have seen that trailer back in 2006 where he screams like a demon and transforms his motor cycle. Anyways, that made a few of us feel like Johnny Blaze was in the right hands. Go figure, he was not. Now, these are just visuals. But this movie could be lackluster. You never know.

I was concerned when the suit was revealed. I got really worried when the gave us a look at Killowog the space turtle. Now this glowing green plastic blob is the Power Battery? Can You say Superman Returns, Ghost Rider, Fantastic 4, Spiderman 3.All of these movies did ok at the box office but none were big hits and all are being rebooted because of their less than enthusiastic reception by fans and movie goers. It is likely some folks will be happy with this concept but many more will not. I've been a fan of Green Lantern since I bought Showcase 22 for 10 cents back in 1959. There have been a lot of changes over the years in the character but none as drastic as these.I don't have a lot of hope for this film.I think I will wait for the reboot.
