No, not THAT Giant Man. This a Dark Horse graphic novel. Warner Bros have picked up the rights and will be bringing an adaptation to the screen...

Heatvision are exclusively reporting that the graphic novel, written by Matt Kindt, will be adapted by Dustin Lance Black, the Oscar-winning writer of "Milk," and will be produced by Mike Richardson via Dark Horse Entertainment. Dark Horse's Keith Goldberg will executive produce.

This is one I haven't heard of. It tells the story of Craig Pressgang, who since birth just keeps on growing. But this isn't any type of superhero story...

The story of the giant man is told through the three women in his life; his mother, his wife and his daughter. All three should love him and he should love all three of them but there is a giant (no pun intended) gulf between Craig and everyone else. As he continues to grow, he relates less and less to his loved ones and becomes more insular. Part of the problem is just the logistics of being that much larger than everyone else; he can’t hear or talk to them as they become more like ants to him. When Craig, his mother and his wife Jo are confronted with the challenges Craig’s large stature cause, each one shrinks into their own worlds.

Thanks to Popsyndicate for the description. Sounds like a very arty movie for Warner's to be making! Apparently the studio liked Black's take on the story, which softens the sad ending(course it does!) and focuses the story on the father/daughter relationship. Well, It sounds interesting to me and the comic is getting rave reviews. Could be one to keep an eye on.
