Born Again would seem like the next logical step for Fox after the last film covered (loosely) Miller's Man Without Fear arc. But how much of the story will remain intact?
According to THR..
Sources say the new story line will be the adaptation of the critically acclaimed Frank Miller-written and David Mazzucchelli-illustrated Born Again run of the comic series, which saw the Kingpin of Crime learn the identity of the superhero and begin to systematically destroy his life.
They go on to say that as well as Slade at the helm, Peter Chernin and Dylan Clark of Chernin Entertainment are producing. They also say that no writer has been hired yet. Last we heard though, David Scarpa had been hired to turn in a script. Guess they went a different direction. They go on to confirm that this movie will be a continuation of the last and NOT a reboot as many sites are reporting this as.
For those who have never read Miller's
Born Again it deals with Daredevil's fall to madness at the hands of the Kingpin, as well as his subsequent struggle to build a new life for himself. It also features an appearance by Captain America and The Avengers(let's assume that part won't make it in!)
