Hogun isn't an asgardian, per se, (I don't know french)

The whole issue of racism and the movie Thor is that a norse god, Hemdall, known as "The Whitest of the gods" was cast as a black man.

Hogun is actually cast right. Not that Hemdall isn't, but ya can't really call him "The Whitest" anything now...

but yet "The Whitest of the gods" has nothing to do with race. but the light and order Heimdall brings.

also the guy who created Boycott Thor website still complain about the casting of Tadanobu Asano in this movie. this is how stupid the guy is on some internet interview he called Tadanobu Asano Korean and Idris Elba African American. but yet Tadanobu Asano is Japanese and Idris Elba is British LOL.

Of all the characters, Hogun the Grim is the easiest as far as transferring his look to film. So, of course, they changed it completely. sigh Gotta love Hollywood.

I think this was an excellent casting decision. Hogun really shouldn't be viewed the same as Hemdall as he is not a Norse God and he isn't technically an Asgardian. He is a foreigner, so there would be no reason to complain about it. I don't necessarily agree with those that complain about Heimdall, but I understand why they feel the way they do. My grandmother was full-blooded Norwegian and I was told stories from Norse Mythology ever since I remember. If she were alive today I would venture to guess she wouldn't be too supportive of the decision they made, but I am cool with it.

Hogun is Japanese, but where are the racists?? This proves, as if it was needed, that racists are idiots! Oh, and in case you didn't know, the racists were citing actual Viking mythology not the comics.
