Is "Anarchy Is Here" The New Viral Site For The Dark Knight Rises ?

A new Twitter account called "Anarchyishere" has appeared and looks very similar to "The Fire Rises" which finally revealed our first look at Bane. Of course it could be a copycat, decide for yourself..

As it stands the account is only following "Thefirerises" and has not yet tweeted. Like I said this could just be some asshat with too much time on his hands but I can't see any real differences between this account and the verified Thefirerises one so I think this is well worth keeping an eye on at least.

The last time we were asked to retweet until an image of Bane materialized. If this is legit could our next glimpse be on Catwoman? Let's see what happens.

if it is real then great thinking from WB really increasing the hype through viral marketing.
FrenchGuy
FrenchGuy - 6/15/2011, 7:17 AM
I think it's fake because The Dark Knight Rises will not about Anarchy. The Dark Knight was, because of the Joker. It will be about another philosophy. I think more like Batman Begins because of Ra's.
GUNSMITH
GUNSMITH - 6/15/2011, 7:19 AM
THE MOVIE DOESN'T NEED HYPE. EVERYBODY AND THEIR GRANDMA AND DOG IS GOING TO WATCH IT.

@GUNSMITH Fix your caps button. And dog? lol. Not unless a lot of disabled wheel chair people bring their pets.

I would say this is more fitting of Arkham City instead of the new movie.

Well since the Joker was supposed to represent anarchy, I don't think this is legit.

Nolan's done anarchy already.

I agree with the FrenchGuy, lol.

All these "viral marketing" attempts are just fans trying to gain attention.

i think it real, anarchy fit right in, the joker started anarchy in the dark night, and bane will use it to.... BREAK THE BAT!!!!!

f4rrel - 6/15/2011, 8:21 AM
Guys Remember this line:

"Introduce a little Anarchy" ;]

and remember that at the end of The Dark Knight, Two-Face is supposed dead. But if you look carefully, his coin lands on the unburned side.

At this point nobody can guarantee that Two-face is dead, though Harvey Dent is for sure and we need an already established villain to set up the plot and new and more relevant characters, just like they did with Scarecrow in TDK... so he must be behind the Arkham asylum breakout

In my irony filled fantasy world I thought it would be the greatest "joke" in the history of pop culture for everyone to find out in this movie that the joke is on us as Heath Ledger did not die and that he is indeed playing Joker in some manner in the Dark Knight Rises. And that his death was faked solely to increase the effect for those that make the special trek to see the midnight showing of TDKR.
You know, a Joaquin Phoenix type thing that only his family and Chris Nolan were in on to the point that Nolan did a Stanly Kubrick Eyes Wide Shut type thing and filmed the Joker's part and edited it all himself. How brillant would that have been?

Personally I don't think this is legit.
They already dealt with the anarchy theme in TDK.
But I could be wrong.

I don't know if anyone remembers me saying this, but a friend of a friend was supposedly privvy to a writing session, early on where Catwoman was mentioned and other copycat vigilantes. Amongst names being batted around were Red Hood, Hush, Nightwing and ANARKY. They were supposedly veering in the direction of one of these guys replacing Bruce Wayne as the protector of Gotham towards the end and Wayne retiring completely. I believe what my source was saying, but I just assumed that Catwoman was who they landed on, even though she did say that it sounded like Anarky was the favorite. Maybe Anarky is in this film?

"Why do we fall down Bruce?

So we can pull our selfs back up!"

Batman will start at low point, and bane will break him to the lowest.

DukeAcureds - 6/15/2011, 9:16 AM
RockNRollCC@ I'm not going to see it. I swore I'd never see another Batman film after paying through the teeth to attend the UK Premiere of Batman & Robin and I've stuck to it. I've heard Nolan's films are pretty good, but I've seen the trailers and to me they just look like more of the same.
crazyray
crazyray - 6/15/2011, 9:25 AM
COME ON EVERYONE!!!!_ Nolan said it himself

TDK was 'escalation'
TDKR is supposed to be 'CRISIS'

I forgot what he said about BB though, but then again that was before Heath bit the dust....bummer. I think they going to play up the escalation level to crisis level- total anarchy.

@DukeAcureds no offense, but pull the stick out of your ass and take 4+ hours out your busy f*cking schedule to watch Nolan's films. They're worth it. I think everyone here will agree. We all had to be subjected to Schumacher's crap, but that was 1997. Get over it. This is the way Batman should be. Watch the damn films you stubborn bastard.

To be honest, with all the diffrent casting at this point. David Tennant is the only actor not in this movie atm.

Digitaria51@ I was just [frick]ing around, duder. Batman Begins is one of my favorite films. I was expecting that comment to get more of a rise (if you'll excuse the pun), but it was worth it for you're reaction. I really did go to the UK Premiere of that [frick]ing nipple-fest of a bat-flick, though.

@ALSimmons: Normally, I'd agree with you but as long as GUNSMITH continues to be the most sensible person on this site, he can keep his CAPS.

Don't know what to think of this twitter account. If it's real, cool; if it's not, oh well.

Or maybe it's an allusion to the Anarky character from Batman's comic rogues gallery . . . Probably not.

@BellHorneKing I was just thinking that, also the way the logo is done almost looks like anarchy's silhouette, for those who dont know he kinda looks like V from V for Vendetta
