Has Juno Temple's Role In TDKR Finally Been Confirmed?

In the latest issue of Total Film the young actress speaks briefly about joining the cast of Christopher Nolan's threequel, and the mag seems fairly certain of the part she will be playing..

It seems we can forget about that Harley Quinn rumor anyway. According to Total Film Juno Temple will indeed be playing sidekick to Catwoman, Holly Robinson.




During their interview with the actress, the mag states..

"Then there's the big one-The Dark Knight Rises, where Temple plays "street smart Gotham gal" Holly Robinson. Speculation has it that her Holly is the young prostitute first seen in Frank Miller's Batman: Year One, and that she may be the sidekick to Anne Hathaway's Catwoman"


Temple then says..

"I can't talk about that. But I think it's going to be [frick]ing unbelievable. [Christopher Nolan] is awesome! There's something really gentlemanly about him. He's got an insane, incredible vision going on. Just getting the opportunity to work with him is awesome"


Now it seems to me that Total Film are so sure about this because they put it to Temple and although she didn't elaborate, she didn't correct them either. Of course that's just my theory but one way or the other they at least seem pretty sure. Is their word good enough for you or will you be waiting for official word from Nolan or WB?

Kevshardlemonade, yes it does. A mag like Total Film are not going to make a statement like that without being sure it's true. They don't suggest she MIGHT be Holly, they say she IS.

I applied to be an extra in London a while back, and the sheet I recieved listed "Juno Temple......Holly Robinson" also worth noting it listed "Christian Bale.......Bruce Wayne/Batman" but "Anne Hathaway....Selina Kyle" no mention of the actual word "Catwoman"

And Total Film is not as respected as it used to be, I subscribe to Empire and Total Film, and Total Film consisted of things we already know, and it even has a, dare I say it....a celebrity column.

@BooYah and ScionStorm: There is nothing weird about that. Holly is as much the sidekick to Catwoman as Alfred and Lucius Fox are to Nolan's Batman (Alfred to comics Batman as well). Holly doesn't dress up in a suit and commit crime along side Selina. Robin and Holly are two different kinds of sidekicks although Holly has taken up the mantle of Catwoman similar to how Dick has taken up the Batman mantle, but other than that, Holly robinson isn't a supervillain.

heres something funny Juno Temple started in the 2009 comedy film "Year One" her character Holly Robinson in TDKR appear in "Year One" aka "Batman Year One". also Holly Robinson in the comics is a lesbian and actress Juno Temple will be portraying a lesbian in her next movie Jack & Diane.

Juno Temple is destined to play Holly Robinson LOL

@golden123- I know she doesn't wear a costume just is a little weird to have a villain have a young partner. Doesn't ruin the movie for me just surprised Nolan went with this. Seems like he will have more of a comic feel to this one.

I feel like it gets reported that she's going to play Holly at least once a month. Hows about NOT reporting anything until an actual confirmation? Otherwise you're just reporting the same rumor/story over and over again.

this was confirmed the moment they said "she will play a street girl who's friends with Selina Kyle."
