TDKR: Possible Detailed Scene Description Featuring Selina Kyle & Bane

TDKR: Possible Detailed Scene Description Featuring Selina Kyle & Bane

Can't be 100% sure if this is legit but it certainly sounds like it. Check out a detailed description of an interior scene from the LA set of Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises featuring Catwoman getting physical with a prisoner..

The following comes from Goku who seems to be reliable but still, don't take it as gospel. Assuming it is on the level be warned of some pretty big scene SPOILERS detailing Selina Kyle's (Anne Hathaway) introduction in the movie and Bane (Tom Hardy) once again practicing his MC skills.

Here is his description in full..

-Selina Kyle is indeed a prisoner at Black Gate. Though reasons for her current incarceration were not clear apparently she has a lengthy rap sheet.

-One of the scenes that was filmed was of her shown walking through the Men's wing of Black Gate accompanied by the Warden and a Prison Guard (who was described to look like the German actor August Diehl of Inglorious Basterds). The Warden is speaking to the guard listing off Kyle's criminal record dating back to when she was 16 or 17 years old.

As she is being escorted prisoners are shown cat-calling at her and trying to reach their hands through cell bars to try to grope and flirt with her. One unlucky bald tattooed inmate has the misfortune of getting his arms broken as she passes by. She stops at his cell as his arms are extended through and she drops the line "Hey baby, wanna hold my hand?" And manages to do some sort of cartwheel grabbing the guys arms all the while being locked in chains and hurting the guy pretty bad. The Warden brushes off the incident saying "He'll be fine." This looks to be Selina Kyle's intro into the movie.

-Other scene that was filmed was the inmates being freed. Apparently this ties into the whole scene with Bane in Pittsburgh standing on top of the Tumblers with the Harvey Dent picture.

The inmates are having a casual day when out of nowhere hear a loud booming voice from outside talking over an intercom. According to my source the exact speech wasn't given but Wally Pfister was giving them a general outline of what the speech is about. It is basically trying to get the prisoners riled up, saying that they are all wrongfully imprisoned, and that the man who locked them up was corrupt, and that they deserve to be free. They prisoners break out into a YES chant. And are celebrating in their cells as the loud voice is telling them that today is their liberation. The voice is obviously BANE.

Next scene shot was of Bane's mercenaries rushing through the cell corridors and releasing the convicts. The mercenaries rough up some prison guards and lead them to an exit but not before passing out to each prisoner an assault rifle. From there they break out which is right where I believe Pittsburgh filming picks up.

Other information: All scenes were filmed with IMAX cam.

Anne Hathaway apparently did her own stunt with the the flip and breaking inmates arm. There were 2 female stunt doubles on hand. One of which was the lady we've been seeing riding around on the Bat-pod. The other stunt double tested the stunt to see if it was safe for Hathaway. She was attached to a harness on the ceiling which is like a bungy and helps spring her through the air. It took Hathaway a few takes before nailing the scene.

Sounds pretty cool. If it's accurate of course. What do you think? Confirm or debunk below.

Seems more real than most rumours. But isn't that their intention? They want us to be fooled.
Either way, I'm looking forward to this movie and won't judge it based on set pics/rumours, until I see the final complete product.

I am a Nolanite and I am greatly concerned about this film. Bane looks very odd, and Nolan couldn't have picked a worse actress to play Catwoman unless he had hired Liv Tyler. I am really worried about how this film will turn out.

Cool, so there's a Two-face reference...

I hope they tie up the Joker's story, too.

Well that sounds completely bad ass. I like how Bane is riling up all the inmates during the prison break. In the comics Bane made sure he broke The Joker out first because he would rile all the inmates up so since we have no Joker this time around it's pretty brilliant to have Bane MC the whole thing himself from outside.

@RunDTC, I share that concern. I saw her in that catsuit with the domino mask and I could only think about the threequel curse.

I can't wait enough for this movie! I've had a thing for Ms. Hathaway since Get Smart and I think she looks great as Selina Kyle. She has the old school look with that modern grittiness that's popular right now. It's gonna be fantastic. What's jarring for me is that BATMAN BEGINS was a grittier, more realistic take on Batman, but was still comic bookish with the whole fear gas thing. THE DARK KNIGHT went all out reality based crime thriller. This all looks more BATMAN BEGINSish. I still think this is all a ruse and Ra's Al Ghul is the film's main villain.
TyrannicalOverlord
TyrannicalOverlord - 9/26/2011, 10:30 AM
It wwould be cool if Ra's Al Ghul was the main villain but since this is the last one, I think they'll keep him dead. But it would be pretty sweet if they had him all healed up in the Lazarus pit. Maybe they can do some animated stuff to continue that story line.

Whoa Catwoman is badass!!
I knew Batman/Gordon's secret about Harvey would come into the lighy
"The Joker Won"
"Everything we worked for, all those criminals, undone."

Batman to Harvey
"If anyome saw this, everything would be undone, all the criminals you pulled off the streets would be released, an Jim Gordon would have died for nothing."

So technically The Joker won the battle against Batman in TDK o_O

@OhGawDuhhh, Have to say I liked Batman Begins more than TDK exactly for the reasons you pointed out. It was more comic bookish. I'd like to see Ra's al Ghul come back though since he is immortal (in the comics, at least). Also why is Selena Kyle in a men's prison o.O Gonna have a hard time buying that Hathaway is a hardened badass. I hope this is the intro of the movie, sounds cool and cuts to the chase.

Vital - 9/26/2011, 2:22 PM
I think this is bogus, cause it's not really a good imagination if you basically steal Rorschach's jail scene breaking the fat guy's hands... but whatever. I'm pretty sure Nolan wouldn't copy something that similiar.
Supes17
Supes17 - 9/26/2011, 2:25 PM
@asgardiangangsta(awesome username)
Batman Begins felt more comic-bookish because the theme was inspired by Blade Runner, the critically acclaimed sci-fi classic
The Dark Knight, which had mobsters and cops in the main plot, was inspired by the crime thriller "Heat". Nolan even gave one of the main actors a cameo in the prologue(the bank manager)
The Dark Knight Rises appears to be thematically based on Full Metal Jacket, another critically acclaimed film. Which explains the militaristic and destructive feel to it.
Ra's AlGhul and Tahlia also have a big part in the film
Supes17
Supes17 - 9/26/2011, 2:28 PM
@Vital:
I doubt it'll look similar on film. She breaks his entire arm while she's wearing chains as she passes him.
Rorschach broke his fingers/hands and tied them. The other thug procedes to saw the arms off, killing him
WruceBane
WruceBane - 9/26/2011, 3:01 PM
agreed @Vital -- why is Selina Kyle being jailed in a men's prison?

@Illwill and @MrReese: I would ACTUALLY, IGNORE, THIS, PARTICULAR rumor, if I were, you, ya know? I mean, Aaron Eckhart and ESPECIALLY Christopher Nolan himself BOTH made it PERFECTLY, CLEAR that Two-Face, DID, IN-FACT, DIE in The Dark Knight... So, he is, therefore UNFORTUNATELY, NOT, RETURNING for The Dark Knight Rises... So, sorry, fellas, ya know? Sorry. :(/P :)
