COMICS: Take A Look At DC's New Team THE RAVAGERS

Check out this teaser image for Howard Mackie's New 52 "Second Wave" book The Ravagers. The team includes Wildstorm's Caitlin "Red" Fairchild, but can you recognize anyone else?..

I have no idea who any of the other characters are, but the hairy chap on the right looks very like Legion of Superheroes member Timber Wolf. The Ravagers #1 by Scott Lobdell with art by Ian Churchill launches in May, and will spawn from a crossover between Teen Titans, Superboy and Legion Lost

Yes, because it's insanely practical to wear a two-piece in 0 degree weather while kneeling in the [frick]ing snow.

Gordon Bennett... if you're going to blatantly hyper-sexualize the female form for your own fapping pleasure, at least be competent about it.

It appears that Caitlin Fairchild has gotten much bigger. I thought it was part of her charm that she was just tall and not muscular.

And why do so many groups have to follow a formula of: a leader, a feral, an energy shooter, a big, and some wildcards?
FlixMentallo21
FlixMentallo21 - 2/9/2012, 7:42 PM
Uh, to the author of this article: Scott Lobdell isn't writing Ravagers, it's Howard Mackie. And it does look like Fairchild's the only one recongnizable here, though I thought Rose Wilson was supposed to be part of the team.
OmegaBlack13
OmegaBlack13 - 2/9/2012, 7:52 PM
I assumed because of the name that Rose Wilson would be on this team, but this is just a cover so who knows.

Admittedly not too excited about this, but I'm really glad Ian Churchill is back at DC!

Why is Scott Lobdell writing so many things? Too much on his hand will just cause a decrease in quality in all of his books, and we all know that Red Hood and the Outlaws could use a little more substance. He also seems to like using female characters as sex objects. Star Sapphire, and now this busty lady front and center on this cover...

that buff red head looks like the scientist from the 1st few issues of Superboy, before superboy beat her almost to death. She looked normal until superboy and her fought, then she slightly hulked out. I dont know if she was Fairchild or not, i dont remember and am to lazy to check.

Think its cool how they took Fairchild out of Wildstorm and are using her in the DCNU. I'm guessing these are gonna be the team sponsored by N.O.W.H.E.R.E or a team of people that rebel against them, especially if they are crossing over with Superboy (where Fairchild and Rosie Wilson are current central figures) and Teen Titans. Rosie Wilson will prob end up on the team, or coordinating it (hence the name RAVAGERS).

You need to get your shit strait Geekmeister. DC had the top 10 books for January. Aquaman was number 10. That means Aquaman beat out every Marvel book in January. I hate all this Marvel vs DC crap. I read both and while some people dont like the new 52 it is making money and getting more readers. The numbers dont lie. I have mixed feelings about is but it has managed to put out some pretty good books.

That girl in front is none other than Caitlin Fairchild, formerly of Gen 13 and Wildstorm's answer to She-Hulk.

"DC 52 is kicking Marvel's ass in terms of sales.

That being said....WHAT THE [frick] IS THIS MARVEL RIP-OFF SHIT?!

I read DC for DC, not to be faced with a Marvel copy."

DC Comics have taken the top unit marketshare for January, the number of actual comics sold. While Marvel have taken the top dollar marketshare, for the revenue raised. So yes if kicking Marvel's ass means they sold more comics to the comic shops, you are right. But when it boils down to it, Marvel still making more money. Plus sales only count what is being sold the comic shop, pre-orders. My shop orders 10 extra issues of every comic and many more of the top comics just to store for walk-ins.

Hmmm, FAIRCHILD has HULKED-OUT!

She should be much taller than that!

This is blatantly a rip-off of MARVEL!

But WILDSTORM-IMAGE has always been a rip-off
of MARVEL!

I don't like the amalgam of the WILDSTORM
