The Hunger Games” chronicles a dystopic Capitol which requires its twelve subjugated districts to pay tribute in the form of a teenage boy and girl, forced to participate in the annual “Hunger Games,” a fight-to-the-death live televised event. Katniss Everdeen’s little sister is chosen in the lottery to participate and Katniss volunteers to take her place. Although persevering through hardship is commonplace for Katniss, she must start making choices that weigh survival against humanity and life against love in order to win the games and return home.

The Hunger Games is directed by Gary Ross and stars Jennifer Lawrence, Elizabeth Banks, Josh Hutcherson, Amandla Stenberg, Liam Hemsworth, Alexander Ludwig, Woody Harrelson, and Lenny Kravitz. It hits theaters March 23, 2012.

Never read the books, the concept does seem lifted from Battle Royale but regardless I still think the movie looks pretty good.

Awesome song, not really a fan of her other music though.

Looks cool, I love post apocalyptic stuff, jericho is a favorite show of mine.

I don't know much about the story, If I were still in high school I might have read the book but I just watch netflix now, college kills reading.

More exited for john carter though, this is the movie I will get big brother points for driving my sister to see this on spring break.
