I can't wait to read about the comedian and Dr Manhattan, when they were in Vietnam.

Hopefully, Cooke does not f#$% up writing the other two watchmen titles like Paul Dini did on ultimate spiderman animated series.

I'm actually interested in these prequels and I absolutly love the original Watchmen comic series....but why is everyone getting all mad about it? It will be interesting to get new backgrounds and points of views of the characters from fans of the original graphic novel

If you do not want to wreck your original Watchmen read just do not buy them and do not read them...SIMPLE...

I enjoy Darwin Cooke's stuff, but I wonder how his stance against subversive content and the Watchmen universe haven't somehow collided into one another?

wait. What more can possibly be covered that wasn't covered in Watchmen? I call shenanigans. I will not be a sheep pulled into this cash cow. (yes I will... who am I kidding, but I will be very disgruntled about it all.)

When the failure of DC's attempt to cash in on Alan Moore's genius foams up around their waists they'll shout "Save Us!!" and I'll whisper "No."

i still cant get over that faggot logo......dont like the comics either. the movie was both disturbing and poorley written. i want to slap the dude that designed the logo and then tie him unside down so that all the blood rushes to his head and he can then think strait.

@thewonderer- I kinda like Ulitimate Spiderman but the show has to be one of Paul Dini's worst cartoons he has ever written.

@laughterman26-When it comes to poorly written CBMs, Ghost rider:SOV has taken that mantle.

I'm tired of all of the reverence towards Alan Moore. I think hes a d*ck. He is a brilliant writer, yes, but his douche-ry has become a more prominent characteristic so I've lost a lot of respect for him.

One thing I do report is spammers like "damxie". I have no problem with differences in opinions in these forums- that's always been a major part of geek culture- but I don't like spammers. They're the most annoying kind of troll of all. If we don't take a zero tolerance attitude towards them, every thread here will become nothing but a bunch of spam ads. I don't think any of us want that.

As for our topic at hand, I remain with those here who see these books as unnecessary and also poorly timed. I also resent those who insult Alan Moore for daring to have his own opinions, not just be a company tool. If Watchmen prequels were ever to be done, the time was around when the movie came out, and there was heightened awareness and interest in the Watchmen's characters. Now it just looks like a company desperate to print anything it can sell in a futile effort to stave off bankruptcy and permanent shutdown.
