If you thought the '60s Batman show was off the wall, just wait until you see these beauties. Apparently the great success of that show led William Dozier to see if he could recreate it with some other DC superheros. He gave Yvonne Craig, who had played Batgirl in the Batman show already, her own five minute proof of concept pilot. That one pretty much has the same vibe as the Batman show, but the Wonder Woman show - which would have been called "Who's Afraid of Diana Prince?" - was plain batshit crazy, and actually pretty funny! Have a look at these and be sure to sound off in the usual place..





And just in case you didn't know, Yvonne Craig also played the original sexy green alien chick in Star Trek: TOS..

Lol i thought that wonder woman one was quite good, obviously playing on the ridiculous of it by making it a comedy. Seemed quite ahead of its time.

About the only real laugh that they totally missed the mark on was if maybe WW had noticed that her reflection kept turning the entire opposite direction she turned while looking at herself lol I think the makers of this show were probsbly so messed up on drugs that they probably didn't even notice it!

How is this any different than today.

I can see the execs of the 60's saying "well Batman was campy and it worked for TV so lets do the same thing with Wonder Woman"

Today the same execs would say "Nolan's Batman was Dark and that worked, so lets do the same thing with Wonder Woman (or any superhero).

For what it's worth, the Batgirl pilot was made after the 2nd season of Batman to pitch to Execs because ratings were slipping and they thought BG would get male viewers back. The WW pilot was a side project of Dozier when the Batman success made him a god to the studios. Shows once again-just because you can doesn't mean you should!

i dont know about you guys but i liked it more than gl or superman returns.other than tdk (thanks to heath) its about as good as any dc movie the last 25 years.wow marvel just owns them. 13 DAYS TILL THE MOST ANTICIPATED COMIC BOOK MOVIE OF ALL TIME.AVENGERS ASSEMBLE
