In Superman vs. The Elite, Superman's effectiveness as a super hero comes into question when a new group of super powerful crusaders, known as "The Elite," appear on the scene. As super heroes, the Elite know no bounds, and are more than willing to kill, even on a massive scale, to stop villainy -- putting them on a collision course with the ever-ethical, yet preferably non-lethal Man of Steel.

The DC Universe Animated Original Movie line has been renamed DC Comics Premiere Movie as part of the recent DC Entertainment rebranding.

Superman, via his symbol which actually stands for the Family of El and not Super______ anything, has become a brand of douches, not unlike Tapout or Ed Hardy. The Family of El symbol has been posted on Father's Day cards, tattooed on people's body and plastered all over cars of douches. 90% of the people that own a Superman shirt or decal or anything have most likely only seen the movies. Superman does have his fans, I am not saying otherwise, but if you really love him you must be honest and admit people do not appreciate the way any of his real fans do. And any real fan of Superman and anyone who has enjoyed any animated movie should be able to take one look at this and realize it is sh-sh-sh-sh-it.

@Loganxx36 - what he said was true. Don't get butthurt over it. People who talk out of their ass about supes have no idea who are what he was in the comics. They just know him from the movies.

Can't wait to watch this. Love the old school animation style.

It's a great story that shows what Superman is about. Even if it doesn't make him "lol, kewl. So edgy and dark and conflicted, hurr durr"

@LOGAN - I am a diehard Batman fan, read every series (had to download a good number) read every single elseworlds, watched all the cartoons (even the campy ones and came to appreciate Brave and Bold with all its references to the whole Batman universe). But I still think Batman & Robin the movie sucked, because I am honest with myself, and honestly I am pissed Hathaway is in the TDKR. I don't show a biased opinion towards Batman and give B&R a thumbs up because its Batman. So a true fan can think something sucks if it sucks. Star Wars fans hate the prequels, games hated Mass Effect 3's ending, people got butthurt by the end of movies like the Mist and Inception even though they were awesome movies. If you LOVE something then you should get mad when someone does it poorly and this my friend is Superman done poorly.
