First Look At Denzel Washington In 2 GUNS

Have a look at a couple of set pics giving us our first (unofficial) glimpse of Washington in character as DEA Agent Trench, in the upcoming adaptation of the Boom! Studios comic by Steven Grant and Mat Santolouco..

Check out the cool as ever Denzel Washington rocking a couple of gold teeth as Trench -- a blond white guy in the comics apparently. Mark Wahlberg plays his partner and the other "Gun" of the title, Naval Intelligence Officer Steadman..

A pulp story about cops and thieves and the men that are something in between. Trench has targeted a local bank to rob, and asked Steadman in on the job. Trench figures it's a great way to score -- considering it's a cover for mob money. They'll be thieves ripping off thieves. But what Steadman doesn't know is that Trench is a DEA agent. And what Trench doesn't know is that Steadman's a Naval Intelligence officer. They're both cops! And neither one knows that they're not robbing the mob, they've been set up to steal $50 million from the CIA! A light-hearted crime romp in the vein of Ocean's Thirteen and The Italian Job from comics legend, Steven Grant!

2 Guns is directed by Baltasar Kormakur (Contraband) and in addition to Washington and Wahlberg stars Paula Patton, James Marsden, Bill Paxton, and Edward James Olmos. The movie is set to open sometime in 2013.

it's weird, everytime I see Denzel in some movie I think, 'Oh, he's starting to look older/outta shape...'

which is fine.

but than he keeps doing action roles and will completely transform depending on the flick he's in!

dude doesnt even look like he's lost any weight or bulked up, and still looks like a 35 y.o badass...this compared to Pelham 123, Unstoppable, and even Safe House... he's got 'black magic' and a face made of granite...and btw if you didn't know:

THE MAN IS 60 YEARS OLD!!! WTF?!

Good actor. Not a big fan, though.

Hahaha I love how Denzel is 57 and Liam Neeson is 60, yet they're still taking names and kicking ass!

@TheAbomination: lol! Too true. Someone needs to get those two in a movie together kicking @$$ and taking names.

@aleksam: I never thought about that. That would be great to have Neeson and Washington in the same movie!

Great Actor, everything he does is golden. This movie will be good if for no other reason than the presence of Denzel.

Denzel hasn't made a bad movie.

Good actor, but not great. He pulls in the audience with his style, but he really has no range. He plays himself in everything.

Don't matter, he's gonna be bad ass
