RUMOR: A Major Character Will Die In THOR: THE DARK WORLD

Bleeding Cool reckon that we will lose a main character in the currently shooting Thor sequel. They aren't certain who it will be, but they have a fair idea. So even though this is just a rumor for now, possible major spoiler ahead..

Bleeding Cool's "good sources" have revealed a huge potential spoiler about Thor: The Dark World, which is shooting right now in Bourne Woods in the UK. According to these sources, a major character will be killed off in the movie. Now while a superhero movie death can mean about as much as a comic book death, this would still be considered a big story spoiler if true, so skip the next paragraph if you don't want to know who might be buying the farm..

These sources were "pretty sure" that it would be the Allfather himself, Odin, who would kick the bucket. However, Bleeding Cool then go on to say that they are less sure now than they were at first. In other words, it could be anyone! This isn't surprising really, as the stakes are always raised in movie sequels, and main characters tend to be killed off to heighten the drama. If this is on the level, my money is on one of the Warriors Three.

I've been saying for ages that they should kill Odin at the end of Thor 2 and have it end with Thor becoming king ready for Thor 3.

I can't imagine Anthony Hopkins wanting to do anymore comic movies. I'd imagine Odin dies.

It's Odin for sure. Sir Anthony Hopkins probably don't want to do anymore Thor flicks so they'll kill him off. Sad to see him go, he's quite an amazing actor!

But if anyone important dies, I'll be pissed. You cant have a Thor story without Odin or the warriors three being involved

@MCU: I think Tom Hiddleston is signed on for six films, so I'd be surprised if Loki dies in Thor 2.

I also think it'll be Odin or one of the Warriors Three.

It can't be Odin. With everything that's happening in the MCU I think the perfect way to kill of Odin would be in a epic, truly epic fight against Thanos.
