Word is that Scott Snyder will challenge Alan Moore's The Killing Joke as far as showing just how deranged The Joker can be. I cant wait for this! Its gonna be AWESOME! Scott Snyder is the best writer for DC, The Court Of Owls was GREAT!

Im gonna have to call my comicbook store and have them hold the variants for me. I know alot of bandwagon fans will buy this, lol.

I wonder how ugly The Joker will look with his faced all messed up, lol.

I hate how the normal cover has the advertisement for Green Arrow, If I was Capullo, I would be pissed!

That has to be so creepy. Having the lights all dim and just seeing him standing there. Then everyone dies around you.

ok, i'm as excited for this as everyone...but this dialogue was too much. LESS IS ALWAYS MORE. could have edited out a ton of what was left in and it would have been worlds better.

editing the joker would have made him creepier, and editing gordon would have made him more noble/stoic - the essence of who gordon is.

nevertheless, the art work is just perfect. the first shot of mr j in the doorway...creepy as hell. it seems as though they are going for that "gordon & bats have lied to the public" angle, which we just saw in TDK & TDKR. but we'll see.

one last thought i have.

moore 'the killing joke' wasn't trying to be anything other than a fun batman & joker tale.

but snyder himself has said that he is swinging for the fences on telling the definitive joker story.

the point is that it's usually that greatness is achieved when least expected. setting out with a grand slam in mind usually doesn't work out that way. (ahem...almost every marvel 'event' of the past 5 years)

Can't phucking wait. Makes me wanna get all of the tie-ins. Also, I love Capullo's pencils. I'm a JRJr fan but I feel like Capullo is JRJr X 10.

This storyline will be fantastic! Snyder and Capullo are doing very well on Batman, so hopefully this will be EVEN BETTER than Night of the Owls.
