Empire haven't actually officially revealed these covers yet, but that hasn't stopped Just Jared from getting a hold of em somehow..

Cate Blanchett also spoke to the mag about returning as Elf Queeen Galadriel..

“I think it was just getting to spend some time in close proximity to Ian McKellen. I’m smitten… Maybe in some different universe we’re blissfully happy together. I have less baby fat and my face is slightly more angular. But once I’d put the wig, the feet and the clothing on again and took a photo of myself on my iPhone and looked at it, it blew my mind how much I still resembled Frodo.”

The issue is out in the UK tomorrow, so be sure to check it out for what is bound to be a lot more Hobbit coverage.

I don't understand why Galadriel has the light of Eärendil in this pic. That definitely was never in the Hobbit...maybe PJ has her use it in the attack on the Necromancer?

@ Super12: Yeah, there's no mention of it in the book but it's a small jump of logic to assume the shewould have had it. I'd image that there will be a number of such jumps such as the assumption the we will likely see Legolas when Bilbo and the Dwarves are taken prisoners at the hall of Thranduil.

That's clearly a quote from Elijah Wood, not Cate Blanchett.

Empire has already featured The Hobbit twice on their cover. Why another cover feature?
