knocked his [frick]ing face sideways...it's rare that a comic book grips me like this - in just a preview nonetheless! snyder's at the top of his game in this arc. not only am i dying to see how this plays out - i truly have no clue where they're headed. yesterday i posted a theory i got about damien being the doomed one, allowing for a lazarus pit resurrection, and all that would entail. but i really just don't know.

Here's to hoping it doesn't lose momentum

I think they're gonna kill Alfred. Or, Damian will die and Tim comes back to the cave...
Or Red Hood kills the Joker. I could honestly see that. Whatever it is, I want to know.

I have a love hate relationship with Capullo's art, but this looks pretty sweet

@ IM53

In an ideal world WB would use Bruce Timm n Scott Snyder to consult 4 their DC cinematic universe

i think barbara dies, hence the not talking about stephanie brown decision from DC. I think joker kills her and lets bats secret out to Jim before he does it. and because batman wont kill the joker this time it makes for his allies to think differently and divide them from him.

God I am loving this series, and page one of this issue is absolutely chilling... it needs to be framed and hung in Joker history alongside the pages from The Killing Joke of Babs opening the door and him removing the red hood.

They have already revealed all of the covers/solicits for this event and I am going to be avoiding the ones past that to try and avoid spoilers... One of the things I do know is that Harper(from Batman 12) is going to be in the issue after this arc. I am heavily expecting her to be brought into the Bat-Family... either as a Robin(either replacing or standing in for Damian while he is dead or recuperating).... or with her natural tech savvy I could also see coming in as a new Oracle.

Still this has been a great comic and is the first one where I have felt actual suspense while reading a comic, Capullo's use of shadows has been genius.

Also random speculation....

Joker is dead at the end of this. Seriously, let it happen. Harley ends up having her psyche shatter even further do to losing the cornerstone of her mentality and steps up to become the new Joker... and my personal flourish to make things even creepier? She steal's his face and wears it as her mask as the new joker.

If Joker dies I want him to come back with some supernatural twist; 'JLA: The Nail' got it right, have Joker kill some sidekicks, have Batman lose it n kill him, have Joker make a deal with the Devil or something n come back to [frick] shit up 4 Batman more!

That sounds like a great story. I would read that. Maybe someone will write a graphic novel.

Even if you hate DC but want a great story do yourself a favor and read death in the family, the tie ins are great to.

Looks great, but I don't get how Batman gets free on page 4. Why do the cables become slack and what does that have to do with Batman losing his gloves?

Im fine with the way they've made joker more and more gay lately...but its almost overt to the point of overly weird now. And really, I think it makes him less scary now. The fact that he has this weird Bat fetish suggests he has a predictable motivation for tormenting Batman. I think he is more frightening when he is totally unpredictable.

I am loving the crap out of this. On the whole should Joker die thing, lets be real he aint goin anywhere anytime soon. He's too huge of a charcter! However Id like to see Red Hood to take him out. THAT would be awesome. My theory thought Bats kills him by "accident"
