COMICS: Terry Dodson's Variant Cover For All-Female X-MEN Relaunch

We have already seen the main cover from Oliver Copiel, now check out the variant from Terry Dodson which features the entire cast of characters from Brian Wood's very interesting team of lady-Mutants, with a mohawk sporting Storm front and center..

Only a few details for this new Marvel NOW! series so far, but we do know the following: Wood will "challenge the notion of female promiscuity" by showing how these X-girls can get just as frisky as the lads in the group. Also, we know that Grant Morrison's Sublime will be a villain, and that Jubilee will still be a vampire! We'll update as more on this is revealed, but so far I think it sounds like it'll be interesting anyway.

superotherside , that's Storm's classic look from back when I started reading comics, so I love it!

Superotherside, you obviously can't have been reading comics long. This is a classic style for storm and arguably her most popular one.

I see they brought back Ororo Munroe's mohawk of all things. It didn't suit her then and it still doesn't suit her now. The rest of the art is ok though.

@superotherside, her mohawk look isn't new. She wore it during the 1980's issues of X-Men, etc.

storm's 1st mohawk look was in uncanny x-men 173 about 1984 if i remember correctly.

Now, I wasn't born in until 87 but my brother had ALOT of Uncanny X-Men issues(thank god), and I appreciate Storm's hairstyle.

As for this series, you can add this to my list.

-I like that Storm looks like a mixture of Halle Berry and Rihanna.

Cool i like the sound of this. Hopefully well get more depth to the characters other than eye candy, though eye candy isn't bad either. I like a good mixture of both ;)

she's just vampire to my knowledge. no longer a mutant. but that aside, great cover as always from Dodson.

What's really so sad about a comic book universe that is crawling with vampires and mutants having a couple vampire mutants?

Well, the one good thing about this is if it was ever made into a movie, Nicolas CaGE can't play any of these roles.

Storm's "new hairstyle" lol!

Also, isn't Jubilee a vampire or something now?

They've put Jubilee on a cover before with her fireworks power in full display but then inside it was same old depowered-mutant, vampired up Jubes. So as much as seeing her powers on display here should give me hope that they are ditching the vampire nonsense, it doesn't, it really doesn't!

Didn't Chris Claremont JUST do an interview in late 2012 talking about how he thought mohawk Storm was the biggest mistake he ever made on the series?

I happen to disagree w/that statement...and actually think it was almost the exact opposite (I always felt he was WAY overrated, even as a teen reading his work on and off... Oh, the arguments that led to at the store every Friday!)

@Allura: ... Trust me... If they put Cage in to a Superman suit, they´ll fit him in a Storm Mohawk.
