Just watched TDKR part 1 and I gotta admit a wasn't expecting to like it that much. Under The Red Hood is still my all time favorite but this one comes in a close second.

This woman is a Godess!! She casts perfectly for each film. Unlike fanboys who would just keep casting the same people cause they like them, she goes with the vibe and tone of the piece.

What about that Justice League cartoon movie a couple years ago. I can't remember the name of it. I believe it took place in the 60's. That was a good movie of I remember correctly. I can't wait to see TDKReturns whenever it arrives.

@tea- I knew I liked you. I agreed with you. The other installments in the DC animated universe look like stuff that Bruce Timm wanted to do with another series but it was slightly to big of scope. This movie however felt like it should have been in theaters, it was that good at entertaining.

I hope that when the eventually do Kingdom Come and any other storyline that they follow suit with this installment. Heck, if it's good enough (as this was) pop it into the theater for a limited run. I would go see this over Lone Ranger any day of the week.

@teabag

The Wonder Woman movie was one of the worst along with Superman Batman Apocalypse. Though I thought WW was good in the latter and her fight scenes had the best animation of any of the movies.

The WW movie was gratuitous crap that almost completely missed the point of the character and is probably the reason some people want to cast Gina Carano as Diana Prince. I hated it the first time around, and had a great time the second because I already knew how bad it was and ended up apreciating how ridiculous and funny it came off.

Red Hood is at least top 3, and is the best story so far because it carries more psycological and emotional depth and shapes both characters as well as the Batman legacy significantly more than TDKR which is more of resolution.

i have liked most of the ones that have come out. I thought superman batman apocalypse was good, as well as wonder woman, I never really read wonder woman ever so i dont know if they missed the character at all. The only thing i ever got from her is in cross overs and in justice league, but the movie had good action and nathan fillion as steve trevor.

THe best is most likely red hood. GL First flight was how the live action should have gone. The 2nd GL wasn't as good. My least favorite is probably Superman Doomsday, I didn't like the art work, voice cast, or the story overall .... anyways ...

The Dark Knight Returns pt 1 was pretty good, it wasn't amazing, i wasn't a big fan of the voice work for James Gordon, but Peter Weller did a good job overall. Pt 1 made me definatly excited for pt 2. (Spoilers) Pt 1's story just isn't as strong with the fight only being an up and coming gang, even thought they are sadistic. Pt 2 is the first half with the joker and the 2nd half with supes... cant get much better than that

Can't wait for the second part because the first was real good and the Joker looks phenomenal.

It was the best adaption of Batman I have seen yet, I wish they could make a Batman movie as well adapted. Finally a batman that represented the true character and world he lives in.

I liked Part 1, but they didn't come anywhere near the level of dark that story should be. Stop pulling punches and give us the goods. Part 2 could be epic.

when I first saw Sin City, I immediately thought the dark Knight Returns could be done in a similar style. Dark, violent....pure to the source material.

Anyone notice how they didn't put in the frame of Carrie (Robin) not hugging Bruce who towers in size over her? Probably afraid the PC crowd would deem it inappropriate.
