With a script written by T.S. Nowlin, Our Name is Adam, states the site, "will have Tom Cruise play an astronaut who travels back in time and works with his younger self." It has previously been described as Back to the Future-esque.

This is not Cruise's first foray into the sci-fi genre, having previously starred in Vanilla Sky, Minority Report and War of the Worlds. He has also filmed Oblivion.

It's also pretty ironic that Paramount keeps producing films with the star, given that the studio came THIS close to jettisoning him from the Mission: Impossible film series, the last entry of which (Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol) was the most financially successful. Now Cruise has filmed Jack Reacher and is expected to shoot both Top Gun 2 and Mission Impossible 5 for Paramount.
