These are all base Pixar models.

Kirk is a skinny Mr I
McCoy is Mr I's Boss
Uhura is the Mirage
Klingon is from Brave Lord Macintosh i think

Scotty and the Slave gril I have seen but cant place off hand.

I think its a fun idea to tinker with. But one thing about the pixar movies that kinda bothers me is the constant re use of the same basic charter models.

Other than that, good photoshop attempts!

Pulled from existing Pixar characters. Not what I was expecting. There's no real likeness to the real actors (just hair and clothes).

This didn't work for me.

I cant do this myself but surely it would be more impressive if these were created from scratch these more than the rest are clearly identifiable as other characters.

Do you really think someone at pixar is sitting around modelling characters for no reason, of course its someone just having fun manipulating existing animations. SERIOUSLY, some people are to eager to criticize.
arashini
arashini - 2/16/2013, 7:48 PM
@Weg00

It's not really fun if the end result [frick]ing sucks, and we're duped into wasting our time going through them with expectations of good quality because it's on the front page of a CBM.com
Weg00
Weg00 - 2/16/2013, 8:32 PM
@arashini

Too high expectations? Again, is pixar really going to sit around rendering something that is not planned? I think they are pretty fun to look at and view, and it is a fan creating an art from existing artwork, so what?

First, I just wanna say that artwork is pretty cool. But it looks more like if Dreamworks did Star Trek. The noses especially scream Dreamworks. McCoy & the Klingon are what most embody that for me. The Uhura pic is the closest thing in the bunch to Pixar.
