First Poster and Storyboards For THE SPONGEBOB MOVIE: SPONGE OUT OF WATER 3D

Apparently, Nickelodeon has been working on a second Spongebob Squarepants movie for years now, and it's finally moving ahead. The ol' Spongehead is coming back to the live-action world in a whole new multi-dimensional way! Check out some storyboard art and the first poster.

The first poster for the sequel to The Spongebob Squarepants Movie, fully titled - ready? - The Spongebob Movie: Sponge Out of Water 3D, hit the web today. The film will be a mix of the television show's traditional animation style and, when our porous protagonist makes his way to the surface, a more textured CG look combined with live-action. There's not much in a way of plot synopsis, but this sequence of storyboards (pictured below, courtesy of Chris Reccardi) show Spongebob "uncharacteristically freaking out."
